Romo gave up two hits and struck out two over two scoreless innings to record his seventh save of the season in Friday's 8-6 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The 36-year-old hasn't seen much use lately -- his inning of work Tuesday was his first action since May 6 -- so Marlins manager Don Mattingly leaned heavily on his well-rested closer, letting him throw 28 pitches (21 strikes). Romo now sports a 5.40 ERA and 16:9 K:BB through 15 innings, but he has yet to blow a save chance this season. Should Miami have another late lead to protect Saturday, don't be surprised if Romo is unavailable.

Romo allowed a run on two hits while earning his sixth save during Monday's win over the Cubs. He struck out three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Romo allowed a solo homer to Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo followed with a single. Still, the 36-year-old closer managed to escape trouble and finish things off. Miraculously, Romo is 6-for-6 in save chances and owns a 1-0 record despite his unsightly 6.00 ERA.

Romo gave up a run on two hits over one inning Wednesday while striking out one to record his fifth save of the season in a 4-2 win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
A solo shot by Carlos Santana narrowed the Marlins' lead, but Romo was able to get out of the ninth inning without further damage. The veteran reliever now has a 6.30 ERA and 8:4 K:BB through 10 innings, but he has yet to blow a save and as long as he keeps getting the job done, manager Don Mattingly will leave Romo in the closer role.

Romo didn't allow a baserunner and recorded no strikeouts in the 10th inning to record the save Thursday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Romo came on in the 10th inning with a two-run lead and had little trouble closing out the game, inducing two groundouts and a flyout. He's recorded three of the last four saves for the team, and is perfect in converting opportunities this season. While he won't rack up strikeouts like elite closers, he appears locked into the role for the time being.

Romo secured his third save Tuesday against the Indians by recording one strikeout and not allowing a baserunner during the ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
Romo had only one save through his first seven outings of the season but now has saves in back-to-back appearances. The 36-year-old has a 6.75 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 7:4 K:BB across eight innings and has yet to blow a save opportunity.

Romo picked up the save and struck out one in the ninth inning Friday against Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Romo needed just 10 pitches to retire the final three batters, eight of which were strikes. The 36-year-old has gotten off to a rocky start to the 2019 season (7.71 ERA over seven innings), so a perfect frame is a welcome sight for the Marlins.

Romo gave up a run on two walks and a wild pitch while striking out one in an inning of relief during Tuesday's loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The 36-year-old has been trying to dig his ratios out of the hole created when he coughed up four runs in his first appearance, with middling success. Romo does have a win, a save and a hold through seven outings, but his 9.00 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and 5:4 K:BB in six innings are discouraging. He remains in the ninth-inning mix for the Marlins for now, but even fantasy GMs desperate for saves should approach him with caution.

Romo recorded his first save of 2019 with one strikeout in a 3-0 victory against the Rockies on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After Romo struggled in a non-save situation Friday, the Marlins turned to Wei-Yin Chen with a three-run lead in the ninth Sunday. But seeing Chen yield a hit and a walk to start the frame, Romo entered to stop the bleeding. He retired the next three Rockies, striking out one. Since he allowed four runs and pitched just two-thirds of an inning in his first two appearances this season, Romo has a lot of work to do to lower his ERA and WHIP, but he has the first save under his belt.

Romo coughed up four runs on three hits and a walk while recording only one out during Friday's 6-1 loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins' closer picture got no clearer in this one, as manager Don Mattingly used all three of his presumed save options in non-save situations. Adam Conley entered in the seventh inning of a 1-1 game and took the loss by allowing a run, Drew Steckenrider escaped unscathed from the eighth, and then Romo got hammered in the ninth. Consider all three only as supplementary sources of saves at best until one of them emerges from the pack.

Romo struck out one in a perfect ninth inning during Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran reliever now boasts a 10:2 K:BB through 7.1 spring innings. Romo's role in the Marlins' bullpen isn't yet clear, but he showed last season with the Rays he could handle just about any assignment while accumulating 25 saves, eight holds and five starts as an opener. Don't rule him out as part of the closer mix in Miami.
