Dyson was handed a year-long suspension Friday for violating the league's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy, Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The suspension stems from allegations by Dyson's ex-girlfriend which were made back in November of 2019. Dyson didn't pitch in 2020 while recovering from shoulder surgery and will now miss all of 2021 as well. He'll be heading into his age-34 season if he attempts a comeback in 2022.

Dyson (shoulder) is being investigated by MLB for an alleged domestic violence incident, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The league began the investigation after Dyson's ex-girlfriend wrote about the alleged incident on social media. Dyson is already expected to miss most of all of the 2020 campaign as he recovers from shoulder surgery and could now be suspended on top of that, depending on the results of the investigation.

Dyson (shoulder) was outrighted to Triple-A Rochester and elected free agency Saturday, La Velle Neal of the Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old underwent shoulder surgery in September and is expected to miss most or all of the 2020 season. Prior to the injury, Dyson recorded a 3.32 ERA and career-best 1.06 WHIP in 62.1 innings with the Giants and Twins last season. The right-hander showed that he can still be an effective middle reliever in 2019, but it's unclear whether a team will take a chance on him after he had surgery on his throwing shoulder.

Dyson underwent capsule repair surgery in his right shoulder Tuesday and could be out up to 12 months, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson could miss the entire 2020 season and his career could be in jeopardy with this type of surgery. The Twins traded for Dyson in July to not only bolster their bullpen for this season, but next year as well, so this will impact their offseason plans.

Dyson may need surgery on his shoulder that would push his return to the mound until the middle of the 2020 season, the La Velle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson met with specialist Dr. Neal El-Attrache on Monday in Los Angeles and indications are that he will need surgery. The Twins traded for Dyson in July to not only bolster their bullpen for both 2019 and the future, so this will impact their offseason plans. Dyson went on the injured list in early September with what was reported as biceps tendinitis, but the issue is apparently much more extensive.

Dyson (biceps) suffered a setback and may not be able to return this season, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will see Dr. Neal ElAttrache a week from Monday and surgery is a possibility, per Miller. An MRI earlier this month did not reveal structural damage, but perhaps this setback changes the diagnosis.

Dyson's (biceps) MRI showed no structural damage Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson battled biceps tendinitis in early August and has been dealing with a new biceps problem over the last few days. His return date remains unclear, but he appears to have avoided a particularly serious injury.

Dyson was sent to Minnesota with a recurrence of minor soreness in his biceps, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "Just trying to get out ahead" of the problem, Chief Baseball Officer Derek Falvey said.
EDGE Analysis
While Falvey has downplayed the issue, it's a concern because Dyson spent ten days on the injured list with the issue in early August. He had success after his return from the 10-day DL with a 2.53 ERA in 10.2 innings, but just a 5.9 K/9.

Dyson (biceps) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dyson was moved to the IL on Aug. 4 due to right biceps tendinitis, but he's made a quick recovery and will be available to pitch in Tuesday's series opener in Milwaukee. He was knocked around for six runs in his first two appearances with the Twins and now sits with a 3.48 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with a 48:9 K:BB over 51.2 innings this season.

Dyson (biceps) could be ready to return from the 10-day injured list as soon as Tuesday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
A trade-deadline pickup from the Giants, Dyson was blasted for six runs across his first two relief appearances with the Twins before being shut down with right biceps tendinitis. Fortunately, the 31-year-old has seemed to make quick progress in his recovery from the injury, as he played catch Friday and Saturday before completing a bullpen session Sunday. The Twins will see how Dyson looks coming out of Monday's off day before deciding on his fate Tuesday ahead of the club's two-game interleague series in Milwaukee.
