He'll be their starting left fielder once again in 2013.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Reds have reached an agreement to re-sign outfielder Ryan Ludwick. No word yet on the terms, but previous reports indicated that the Reds had offered Ludwick a two-year deal in the range of $13 to $14 million. The 34-year-old enjoyed a resurgent season in 2012, batting .275/.346/.531 with 26 home runs and an .877 OPS, and is a decent bet for continued success playing half of his games in the hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark.

Jim Duquette of MLB.com hears that Ryan Ludwick's deal with the Reds isn't done yet. Duquette says it's likely that the outfielder winds up re-signing with the Reds, but he's still feeling out interest from other clubs. Ludwick is reportedly looking for a two-year pact in the $14 million range. He batted .275/.346/.531 with 26 home runs for the Reds in 2012.

Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan hears that the Reds are "getting close on a deal" with Ryan Ludwick. Passan adds that the Reds' offer "has been out there, and they expect it to get done." Jim Duquette of MLB.com reported previously that the veteran outfielder was looking for a two-year, $14 million deal. Ludwick made just $2.5 million in 2012 while batting .275/.346/.531 with 26 home runs.

The Reds met Tuesday morning with Ryan Ludwick. "We're in the ballpark," Reds general manager Walt Jocketty said of the meeting. Ludwick has also drawn interest this offseason from the Mets and Mariners. He batted .275/.346/.531 this past summer with 26 home runs.

The Reds have an offer on the table and there's a chance he could accept. Ludwick is surely looking for a multi-year deal after batting .275/.346/.531 with 26 homers and an .877 OPS this past season. Joel Sherman of the New York Post reported Monday that the Mets have expressed interest.
