Detwiler allowed one hit over two scoreless innings in Sunday's 9-2 win over Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler has been lights out to start the season. He retired the first 16 men faced before giving up an eighth-inning single to Whit Merrifield, who was promptly dispatched on a double play. The 34-year-old lefty has allowed one hit and struck out four over seven innings.

Detwiler had his contract selected from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler will begin the season in a low-leverage relief role with the big club thanks to expanded rosters. Across 18 appearances with the White Sox in 2019, the southpaw notched a 6.59 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in 69.2 innings.

The White Sox announced Monday that Detwiler will be included as part of the team's 60-man roster pool.
EDGE Analysis
Before spring training was suspended in mid-March, Detwiler, a non-roster invitee, was on the outside looking in for a spot in the White Sox's Opening Day rotation. While that still remains the case nearly four months later, the expanded roster will at least allow Detwiler to stick around with the White Sox when the 60-game season starts in late July. Assuming the White Sox have their ideal rotation intact for Opening Day, Detwiler will likely work out of the bullpen as a long reliever.

Detwiler has allowed six runs on 12 hits while striking out six over 7.1 spring innings, including two starts.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler was in and out of the White Sox's rotation in 2019, filling in for injured or under-performing starters. The left-hander posted a 6.59 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 69.2 innings over 18 appearances, including 12 starts. With the White Sox poised to be a contender in 2020, there will be limited room for a 34-year-old journeyman starter like Detwiler. He's most likely to start the season at Triple-A Charlotte and be on the short list of emergency starters, if one is needed.

Detwiler returned to the White Sox on a minor-league contract Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler spent the 2019 season with the White Sox, making 12 starts and 18 relief appearances. He didn't find much success, striking out just 14.6 percent of batters en route to a 6.59 ERA. With the White Sox attempting to push towards a playoff spot this season, they'll likely consider the veteran as little more than a backup plan.

Detwiler gave up two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three through 5.1 innings in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler gave up a home run in the first inning, but he only allowed one run in his last 4.1 innings before exiting the contest. Detwiler was making the start on only three days rest, so it was a respectable effort to make it through 5.1 frames. The 33-year-old finishes the season with a 3-5 record with a 6.59 ERA and 46 strikeouts through 69.2 innings.

Detwiler will start Sunday's season finale against the Tigers, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler threw 65 pitches in his last outing Wednesday, so he's likely to be on a limited pitch count on three days rest. The 33-year-old has a 6.85 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 43:26 K:BB through 64.1 innings this season.

Detwiler (3-5) picked up the win in Wednesday's 8-3 victory over Cleveland, allowing three runs on five hits over five innings while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was far from dominant, but he generated plenty of weak contact while tossing 45 of 65 pitches for strikes to help deal a blow to the playoff chances of an AL Central rival. Assuming he doesn't take the mound again this year, Detwiler wraps up 2019 with a 6.85 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 43:26 K:BB through 64.1 innings.

Detwiler allowed five runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out two over five-plus innings in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-innings loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler was brought back to the White Sox's rotation after Lucas Giolito (lat) was shut down, and it's very likely he'll finish the season as a starter. Detwiler's 6.98 ERA should sufficiently scare fantasy owners from streaming him when he's next scheduled to start Tuesday at home against the Indians.

Detwiler will start Tuesday's game against the Twins, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Detwiler was booted from Chicago's starting rotation at the beginning of the month, but following a season-ending injury to Lucas Giolito (lat), Detwiler appears to be in line to finish 2019 as a starter. He lasted just 2.2 frames in his last outing Sept. 2 against Cleveland, surrendering four runs on four hits and six walks.
