It would be a pretty good landing spot from Cedeno's perspective, as the Cards have some uncertainty at second base and have an injury risk in Rafael Furcal at shortstop. Cedeno put up a decent .259/.332/.410 batting line over 78 games last season with the Mets but sports an uninspiring .247/.290/.357 slash over his career.
