Ross had his minor-league option reversed Thursday, Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports. He has returned to the Red Sox's major-league roster and has been placed on the 10-day disabled list.
EDGE Analysis
It was determined that the lefty's injury was suffered while he was a major-leaguer, so Ross was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket. He will camp out on the big-league DL while accruing more service time before another decision is made on the frequent shuttle rider.

Ross was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday, Evan Drellich of CSN New England reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross has struggled a bit since his return to the majors, allowing five runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings pitched. With the Red Sox needing an arm to start Saturday's contest, Ross' minor-league options and recent performance ultimately spelled his doom. He will likely be back in Boston when the Red Sox need bullpen help again, but for the time being, Noe Ramirez will take his spot on the roster.

The Red Sox recalled Ross from Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross will take the place of the recently optioned Kyle Kendrick and serve in his normal role of bullpen depth and left-handed matchup assignments. It'll be tough to find a fantasy league that heavily values the frequent shuttle rider.

EDGE Analysis
Ross recently came down with a bad case of the flu and was subsequently placed on the 10-day disabled list. He's eligible to come off of the DL on April 13 and will look to throw a few innings with Triple-A Pawtucket before returning to the Red Sox's big-league bullpen.
