Iglesias blew the save Friday against the Dodgers. He allowed one unearned run on one hit and no walks with no strikeouts over one inning.
EDGE Analysis
Iglesias entered the bottom of the tenth inning tasked with retiring the top of the Dodgers order to earn a save. He promptly retired Mookie Betts on two pitches before yielding a game-tying RBI single to Shohei Ohtani. However, since the automatic runner scored, the Atlanta closer escaped Friday night without a hit to his ERA, which now stands at 2.03 over 13.1 innings.

Iglesias gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his eighth save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't the sharpest appearance for Iglesias, who put two batters on base before getting an out, but he settled down and took care of the heart of Seattle's order without too much more trouble. The right-hander has converted eight of his nine save chances to begin the year while posting a typically stingy 2.19 ERA and 1.05 WHIP through 12.1 innings, but there are signs Iglesias isn't quite in peak form -- his 94.5 mph average fastball is his lowest velocity since 2016, and his 18.0 percent strikeout rate is a massive drop from the 29.4 percent mark he delivered last season. His top velocity Wednesday was 95.3 mph, on a two-seamer to Luke Raley.

Iglesias blew the save Wednesday against the Marlins, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and no walks across one inning. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Iglesias was given two runs of cushion in the ninth but allowed three consecutive singles to open up the frame. With the bases loaded and no outs, a hard-hit ground ball by Josh Bell ricocheted off Matt Olson into Atlanta's dugout, allowing two runs to score. The outing snapped Iglesias's streak of seven straight appearances with a save and was just his second outing allowing a run in 10 appearances.

Iglesias picked up the save Monday against Miami. He pitched a clean inning with one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Iglesias continued his sterling start Monday night with an uneventful save against the Marlins. He needed only 11 pitches to set down Josh Bell, Jesus Sanchez and Tim Anderson in order for his seventh save, tying him for the NL lead. Iglesias has pitched to the tune of 2.16 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 6:1 K:BB over 8.1 innings.

Iglesias earned the save in a win over the Rangers on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Iglesias entered the game with a three-run lead in the top of the ninth and made short work of the Rangers' lineup with his changeup and four-seamer to collect his sixth save of the season. The right-hander got the final two batters to go down swinging, marking his first appearance this season with at least two strikeouts. Iglesias has converted all six of his save attempts to open the campaign, issuing just one walk over that stretch (5.1 innings).

Iglesias walked one in a scoreless 10th inning Wednesday to record his fifth save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
After Atlanta grabbed the lead in the top of the 10th, Iglesias walked Kyle Tucker on five pitches to lead off the bottom of the frame and set up a double play, and the right-hander got one from Jeremy Pena to end the game. Iglesias is still looking for his peak velocity -- he topped out at 94.6 mph with his sinker Wednesday, below last season's 95.0 mph average -- and he has just a 3:1 K:BB through his first 6.1 innings. However, the 34-year-old is 5-for-5 in converting save chances and sports a 2.84 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. His job as Atlanta's closer remains secure.

Iglesias earned the save Tuesday, retiring the only batter he faced via a groundout.
EDGE Analysis
Iglesias was forced to take the mound Tuesday after Aaron Bummer gave up a pair of runs in the ninth. Despite owning a four-run lead with two outs in the final frame, Atlanta decided to play it safe and turn the ball over to Iglesias, who promptly forced Victor Caratini to ground into a fielder's choice. Iglesias is now 4-for-4 in save opportunities and is tied for the fifth-most saves in the National League.

Iglesias pitched a perfect inning, striking out a batter on his way to a save in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Iglesias was called upon to protect the team's two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning, setting down Miami in order for his third save of the year. The right-hander rebounded well after he allowed two runs on three hits in his last outing Tuesday, improving to 3-for-3 on save opportunities in 2024. Iglesias has produced a 3.60 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with three strikeouts over five innings in five outings this season.

Iglesias gave up two runs on three hits and struck out one in the ninth inning Tuesday to record his second save of the season in a 6-5 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander needed every bit of the three-run lead he was called in to protect, as Iglesias gave up back-to-back hits to lead off the ninth and then watched both runners come home on successive groundouts to second base. The Atlanta closer kept his focus though and fanned Pete Alonso to end the game. Iglesias hasn't blown a save yet in 2024, but his 4.50 ERA and 2:0 K:BB through four innings reflect a slow start for the dominant reliever who hasn't posted an ERA above 2.75 since 2019 or a strikeout rate below 29.4 percent since 2018.

Iglesias didn't allow a hit or a walk in a scoreless inning Saturday to notch his first save of the season in a 9-8 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Iglesias put the tying run on with one out when he hit Eugenio Suarez with a pitch and a pinch-runner moved up to second base with two out on a sac bunt. However, Iglesias escaped the threat by getting Gabriel Moreno to ground out to end it. Though he has managed just the one save on a five-win Atlanta team, Iglesias has been sharp in the early going with three scoreless outings.
