Dickey will start for the Blue Jays either Friday or Saturday, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays had been planning to use Dickey in relief for the time being, but they will need him back in the rotation for at least one start with Aaron Sanchez slowed by a blister. Regardless of the day Dickey ultimately starts, he will square off against the Angels in Los Angeles.

Dickey will be skipped next time through the Blue Jays' rotation, according to MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm.
EDGE Analysis
Dickey was set to start early this week, but the Blue Jays have decided to replace him in the rotation with Francisco Liriano for the time being. Dickey owns a 6.23 ERA since the All-Star break, so it remains to be seen if he will start again before the season ends, or work in relief the rest of the way.

Dickey's next start will be pushed back, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thursday's off day will allow the team to start Marco Estrada, J.A. Happ and Aaron Sanchez (in that order) on normal rest in its critical series against Boston this weekend. Dickey will be the odd man out but he will presumably just move to Monday, and he'll draw a more favorable matchup in the Rays instead of the dangerous Red Sox.

Dickey (9-14) managed to make it through just four innings on Labor Day, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five Yankees in the loss.
EDGE Analysis
Now in his 14th MLB season, Dickey's 14th loss Monday gave him a new career high, surpassing the 13 he had dropped in three prior campaigns. In the hurler's second shortest start of the season, Dickey allowed more hits and runs than he had surrendered in either category over his previous five starts. The veteran is 0-6 in his last nine starts at Yankee Stadium, including three losses in the Bronx this season. Dickey had trouble keeping his pitches down Monday, leading to a season-low two ground outs and a first-inning, two-run homer that the knuckleballer was unable to ever rebound from. Turning his post All-Star break struggles around in his next start won't be an easy task as he draws the heavy-hitting Red Sox on Sunday.

Dickey (9-13) came away with a no-decision in Sunday's win over the Twins, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks over six innings while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
A Josh Donaldson throwing error led to two unearned runs and helped salvage a quality start from what was otherwise a rough outing for the knuckleballer. Dickey's managed to keep the ball in the park in August, surrendering just one home run in 29 innings over five starts leading to a solid 3.41 ERA, but given his 1.57 HR/9 rate on the season there's no guarantee he'll be able to maintain that level of success in September.

Dickey (9-13) pitched 6.2 innings, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two Angels in Tuesday's win.
EDGE Analysis
The knuckleballer's strong performance Tuesday helped lower his ERA to 4.43, its lowest mark in more than a month. After a disastrous final three starts in July (17 runs in 14.2 innings), Dickey has thrown the ball well in August. Through four starts this month, the 41-year-old has picked up two wins and owns a 3.13 ERA with 16 strikeouts over 23 innings. Dickey will make his next start Sunday at home against the Twins.

Dickey (8-13) took the loss on Monday despite allowing just one run in five innings against the Yankees. He surrendered four hits, walked four, and struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Dickey has been less than dominant to say the least, finishing six innings just once in his last five starts. He has now walked seven over his last two starts, though his six strikeouts were the most he's had in an outing since July 5. Dickey won't take the mound again until Tuesday the 23rd, agains the Angels.

Dickey was not at his best on Monday, allowing four runs in 4.1 innings against the Rays. He surrendered six hits, walked three, and struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Dickey has really struggled since the All-Star break. The knuckleballer has made five starts since the break, allowing at least four runs in four of the starts, finishing six innings just twice. Dickey's ERA has ballooned to 4.61, and he will look to right the ship Monday against the Yankees.

Dickey (8-12) allowed just one run on six hits with five strikeouts over seven innings in a win Tuesday over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Dickey stemmed a three-game losing streak with this outing, his first quality start since July 10 against Kansas City. Dickey had his control Tuesday, as he didn't walk a batter. Free baserunners were a huge problem over his losing streak, as he walked nine batters and hit three more in just 14.2 innings over those three starts. He doesn't have the margin for error with his knuckleball to put so many runners on base -- Dickey has never posted a HR/9 below 1.0 in his four seasons with Toronto.

Dickey (7-12) pitched 5.2 innings, allowing seven runs (six earned), four hits and four walks while striking out five Padres in Wednesday's loss.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran couldn't take advantage of the draw versus a weak Padres lineup and dropped his third straight start. Dickey issued more walks than he had in a game since June 3 against Boston, a span of nine starts. Despite starting 19 of his 24 batters with first-pitch strikes, the knuckleballer only threw 65 percent of his day's pitches in the zone. Over Dickey's last three campaigns, he's typically gotten better post All-Star break, but 2016 has been a much different story. In the righty's three starts since the Midsummer Classic, he's 0-3 with a 10.44 ERA and 12:9 K:BB in 14.2 innings. He'll look to get on track when he toes the rubber for his next start Tuesday in Houston.
