Fielder (neck) said Friday that he's completely pain-free and "ready to go," FOXSports.com reports. The 30-year-old struggled to a career-worst .720 OPS in 42 games last season before being forced to undergo surgery to repair a cervical disc herniation in his neck. With the goal of not only staying healthy this upcoming season but also playing every day, Fielder has added to his workout routine this winter. Rangers position players report to spring training Feb. 25.

Fielder (neck) has begun to swing a bat, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Fielder anticipates being healthy for the start of spring training, though that will obviously hinge on how well he progresses this winter.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said Thursday that there's an outside chance Prince Fielder (neck) could take some swings before the end of the season. The first baseman isn't going to return this year after having surgery for cervical fusion of the C5-C6 discs in his neck back in May. But, it would be a nice step and help ease Fielder's mind going into the offseason if he's able to begin swinging the bat in September.

Rangers transferred 1B Prince Fielder from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list. The move clears space on the 40-man roster for the addition of Justin Marks. Fielder, of course, is done for the season after undergoing neck surgery last month.

Prince Fielder underwent successful neck surgery on Tuesday. Fielder had cervical fusion surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck. He's expected to be sidelined for 3-4 months, which essentially ends his season. It will be interesting to see if the Rangers make a run at Kendrys Morales in the coming weeks. Fielder, 30, is still owed approximately $144 million through 2020.

Rangers placed 1B Prince Fielder on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 17, with a herniated C5-C6 disc in neck. Fielder will seek another opinion, but the anticipation is that he will soon undergo season-ending surgery. A procedure would sideline him for 3-4 month, so he's expected to be fine by the time spring training rolls around. Mitch Moreland will handle first base while Fielder is out.

Prince Fielder (neck) will undergo cervical fusion surgery on Tuesday. Recovery is typically three to four months, which essentially ends his season. It's brutal news for the Rangers, who can't seem to catch a break on the injury front. Fielder, 30, is still owed approximately $144 million through 2020.

According to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Prince Fielder is considering undergoing season-ending surgery to repair the herniated disc in his neck. Fielder paid a visit to spine specialist Dr. Drew Dossett on Thursday at the Carrell Clinic in Dallas, Texas while his Rangers teammates were opening a four-game series at Detroit's Comerica Park. The big first baseman received a nerve-root injection this past weekend, but it apparently hasn't alleviated the pain being caused by his herniated disc. The Rangers continue to be battered by bad luck.

Prince Fielder (back, arm) will not travel with the Rangers to Detroit after Wednesday's game. Fielder, who is dealing with a herniated disc in his back that's led to weakness in his arm, is set to visit Dr. Drew Dossett on Thursday. Depending on what Dossett says, it's possible he'll rejoin the Rangers at some point during the four-game series. The Rangers to this point have considered Fielder day-to-day, but it's beginning to sound like a trip to the disabled list may be a possibility.

Prince Fielder (back, neck) remained out of the Rangers' lineup Wednesday. Fielder sat out a couple games over the weekend with a herniated disc in his back and then missed Tuesday's contest with numbness in his arm. He remains day-to-day. Mitch Moreland is handling first base Wednesday.
