Arcia went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and two walks in Friday's 10-4 loss to the White Sox.

The 24-year-old outfielder went deep for the first time since April 25 versus the Indians, and hit safely for the fifth time in six games. Arcia has gotten the month off to an excellent start, slashing .500/.615/.800 over 10 at-bats, with two multi-hit outings, a homer, four RBI, two runs scored and three walks. Equally important has been his improved plate discipline, as he's only whiffed twice after seven consecutive multi-strikeout games to close out April.

Arcia is out of the lineup Saturday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

EDGE Analysis

He has been in the lineup in each of the last four games, but his batting average has dipped from .257 to .234 while striking out 10 times in 16 at-bats over that stretch. Danny Santana will start in center field while Eddie Rosario moves over to left field Saturday.

Arcia hit a walk-off solo home run, his third, to win Monday's game against Cleveland.

Arcia has made the most of his call-up to Minnesota, as three of his nine hits have been home runs to fuel a .257/.333/.514 batting line. With the Twins struggling mightily to find offense, Arcia and his power are going to be very tough to keep out of the lineup.

There's some promise here that's worth looking into for deep-league owners, but those in shallower formats will want to take more of a wait-and-see approach.

Arcia will make his season debut Saturday against the Royals. He's batting fifth in the order as the Twins' right fielder.
