Braves Won't Give Nick Markakis A Qualifying Offer rotoballer.com Thu 10/11/18 10:53 PM

The Atlanta Braves don't plan on extending outfielder Nick Markakis a $17.9 million qualifying offer for 2019 despite his excellent season. The 34-year-old had a great season, hitting .297/.366/.440 with 14 home runs, 93 RBI and 78 runs. His age and the fact that he doesn't have much power will keep his upside limited for fantasy owners, but he could be a very attractive veteran piece for a team on the free-agent market.

Power Risers/Fallers for Week 23: Buy or Sell? rotoballer.com Thu 9/6/18 3:30 AM

Welcome to Week 23 of the 2018 MLB season and a new week of our investigation into the steepest power trenders in baseball, whether those trends are positive or negative. September has finally arrived, which means the homestretch of 2018 is upon us. Nick Markakis Batting .175 Over Past 15 Games rotoballer.com Tue 9/4/18 8:22 PM

Atlanta Braves outfielder Nick Markakis was 1-for-3 during Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox. To be fair, at least the 34-year-old had a hit, as he is carrying a paltry .175 average with zero home runs and three RBI through his past 15 games. Markakis, surprisingly enough, was one of the best hitters in baseball during the first half of the season, but really fell into a funk during the end of August. He still has an excellent .303 average on the year to go along with 14 homers and 83 RB[...]

Nick Markakis Up to 81 RBI on the Season rotoballer.com Mon 8/20/18 6:29 PM

Atlanta Braves outfielder Nick Markakis delivered all the offense his team needed in a 1-0 victory. Markakis singled home a run in the first inning and the pitching staff did the rest. Markakis has been struggling at getting on base lately as he is just 5-for-27 in his last seven games, but the run-producing ability is still there. He has a beefy .318 average on the season along with 81 RBI and 14 home runs. He should be able to hit his way out of the mini-slump as he continues to see enviable [...]
