Jaye (finger) returned from the minor-league disabled list Friday.

Jaye was placed on the minor-league disabled list Monday with a right finger blister.
EDGE Analysis
Jaye made just three appearances with Triple-A Columbus -- allowing 10 runs while compiling a 3:5 K:BB through six innings -- before landing back on the minor-league DL for the second time this season. The 26-year-old has thrown just 60.2 innings between Triple-A Rochester and Columbus this season due to injuries, posting a lackluster 6.38 ERA and 28:21 K:BB over that stretch.

Jaye (arm) was activated from the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jaye hadn't pitched for Columbus since June 10 due to the arm injury. Over 10 starts at the Triple-A level in two organizations this season, Jaye has submitted a 5.43 ERA and 1.52 WHIP across 54.2 innings.

Jaye landed on the 7-day disabled list with right arm soreness.
EDGE Analysis
Jaye will miss a little time after being placed on the shelf following a disastrous outing against Buffalo on Sunday, during which he allowed nine earned runs off 14 hits in six innings. The right-hander has struggled in both of his starts after coming over to the Indians' organization from Minnesota at the end of May.

Jaye was traded from the Twins to the Indians for cash Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jaye will head to Triple-A Columbus following Tuesday's trade. The 26-year-old started eight games at Triple-A Rochester, posting a 4.25 ERA with 19 strikeouts and 15 walks across 42.1 innings.

The Twins reassigned Jaye to minor-league camp Sunday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jaye reached the majors with the Tigers last season and made five appearances (two starts), yielding 17 runs and posting a 4:10 K:BB in 12.2 innings. Since his minor-league track record wasn't overly impressive, Jaye was waived during the offseason and latched on with the Twins as a non-roster invitee. He'll presumably slot in as starting depth at Triple-A Rochester, but Jaye's lack of a 40-man roster spot could make it difficult for him to earn a promotion to the big club in 2018.

Jaye agreed to a minor-league deal with the Twins on Thursday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jaye spent most of the 2017 season with Triple-A Toledo, compiling a 3.58 ERA and 1.56 WHIP across 60.1 innings (11 starts). He did earn a September promotion, however he struggled to a 12.08 ERA, 2.21 WHIP and 4:10 K:BB across 12.2 innings of work, including a pair of starts. He'll offer organizational pitching depth for the Twins next season.

Jaye was placed on waivers by the Tigers on Thursday, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jaye spent the majority of his 2017 season with Triple-A Toledo, but he did receive a September call-up, posting a 12.08 ERA over 12.2 innings (including two starts). The 25-year-old will open the 2018 season in the minors with his sights set on working his way back into the big-league bullpen.

Jaye tossed 1.2 innings in relief in Thursday's 12-1 loss to the Twins, surrendering five runs on four walks and three hits while striking out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Following a disastrous two-start run in which he yielded 13 runs (12 earned) over 5.1 innings, Jaye was banished to the bullpen Thursday with Jordan Zimmermann (neck) cleared to rejoin the rotation following a brief hiatus. Zimmermann labored through the start while lasting just four innings, but Jaye was even worse in relief, He routinely fell behind in the count, throwing first-pitch strikes to just five of the 12 batters he faced, with seven ultimately reaching base. The Tigers' lack of competent bullpen arms probably means that Jaye will make a few more appearances before the season concludes Oct. 1, but don't expect him to provide much in the way of fantasy value while he pitches mostly in lower-leverage spots.

Jaye (1-2) earned the loss after allowing six runs (five earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out one batter in 1.2 innings Saturday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
It was another forgettable outing from Jaye, who has now allowed 12 earned runs across just 5.1 innings in two starts since replacing Artie Lewicki in the Tigers' rotation. While Jaye held his own in a pair of long relief appearances before entering the rotation, he hasn't been able to find the same success as a starter. He's expected to remain in the rotation despite his struggles; his next start is lined up for Friday against the Twins.
