The Cubs reassigned Zagurski to their minor-league camp Saturday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a four-year hiatus, Zagurski resurfaced in the big leagues last season for the first time since 2013. He was lit up in two relief appearances for Milwaukee but fared better with the organization's Triple-A affiliate at Colorado Springs, logging a 3.20 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 45 innings. Zagurski will likely open 2019 with the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate in Iowa.

Zagurski agreed to a minor-league deal with the Cubs on Wednesday, Brandon Warne of Zone Coverage reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zagurski only appeared in a pair of games for Milwaukee last year before getting designated for assignment in July and sent back to the Triple-A level to spend the rest of the 2018 season. He logged a 3.20 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with a 66:17 K:BB across 45 innings of relief for Triple-A Colorado Springs, and will provide more depth to the Cubs' bullpen.

Zagurski was designated for assignment by the Brewers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Predictably, Zagurski struggled in two appearances since having his contract purchased June 28, and allowed seven runs on five hits and two walks for an unsightly 63.00 ERA. The 35-year-old left-hander could return to Triple-A Colorado Springs if he clears waivers, but he seems unlikely to garner another look from the Brewers given his performance this season and sub-par major-league track record..

Zagurski had his contract selected by the Brewers and was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Zagurski signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers in December and posted a 3.90 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with a 48:12 K:BB over 30 innings with the Sky Sox. The 35-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2013, and has a career 7.05 ERA and 1.74 WHIP across 75.1 innings, covering parts of five major-league seasons. The veteran left-hander should serve a low-leverage role out of Milwaukee's bullpen, and seems likely to have a relatively short stay with the club.

Zagurski was released by the Blue Jays on Tuesday, Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors reports. Zagurski's release came at his own request, as he is hoping to parlay his strong minor league season -- 2.08 ERA, 83 K in 60.2 innings -- into a major league job.

Indians released LHP Mike Zagurski. The 31-year-old southpaw owns a 7.05 ERA in 89 career appearances at the major league level, but he was pitching well this season at Triple-A Columbus and should be able to line up a new deal quickly. Zagurski inked a minor league contract with the Indians in late November.

Indians signed LHP Mike Zagurski to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Zagurski appeared in one game with the Yankees this past season, but spent the majority of the year at the Triple-A level, where he had a 3.04 ERA and 83/24 K/BB ratio over 53 1/3 innings. He'll attempt to win a job as a left-handed specialist.

Mike Zagurski has elected free agency. The 30-year-old left-hander appeared in just one game with the Bronx Bombers this season, allowing a pair of runs in 1/3 of an inning. In 53 1/3 innings split between three organizations at Triple-A, he registered a 3.04 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 83/24 K/BB ratio. He'll likely have to settle for a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training as he attempts to latch on elsewhere and compete for a bullpen role.

Yankees sent LHP Mike Zagurski outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He's now off the 40-man roster and can elect free agency if he wants. Zagurski allowed 12 runs over 6 1/3 innings for the Yankees and Pirates this season.
