Harvey (0-3) allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks while striking out two across 2.1 innings to take the loss Sunday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey improved upon his last start as he kept the ball in the yard and also managed to rack up 10 called strikes and three swinging strikes across 40 total pitches. It remains to be seen whether Harvey will stick in the rotation, as the team had been utilizing six starters. He hasn't earned a significant role with his performance to this point, compiling a 11.70 ERA with an 8:5 K:BB across 10 innings.

Harvey (0-2) allowed five earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out none across 1.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey surrendered three home runs in his brief outing, with two of the first five hitters he faced taking him yard. Though 11 batters came to the plate, Harvey managed just four outs before being yanked from the contest. The team's plans for Harvey going forward remain unclear -- particularly after this performance -- though if he got another start it would likely come Monday in a rematch against Cleveland.

Harvey will remain in the rotation for at least one more start and will take the hill Tuesday against Cleveland, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran showed no signs of reversing his long decline through his first two starts for his new team, allowing seven runs on nine hits in just 5.2 innings of work. The Royals will go with a six-man rotation for long, but they have little incentive to give Harvey too many more chances.

Harvey allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
This was an ugly outing and manager Mike Matheny had a quick hook, lifting Harvey after 54 pitches. That decision to lift Harvey early paid off as six relievers combined to shut the Cardinals out the rest of the way in Kansas City's comeback win. Harvey now has an 11.12 ERA and may be headed to the bullpen (or off the roster) with Jakob Junis (back) slated to return to the rotation Wednesday.

Harvey is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday against the Cardinals in St. Louis, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kansas City will grant Harvey another turn through the rotation despite his underwhelming showing in his team debut versus the Reds last week, when he threw 33 of his 54 pitches for strikes and was charged with three runs on four hits and two walks over three innings. He should be able to work a little deeper Tuesday if he can be more economical with his pitch count, but Harvey may need a better showing if he hopes to stick in the rotation beyond this week. Jakob Junis (back) appears set to return from the injured list as soon as Wednesday, and he could bump Harvey to the bullpen or off the active roster if Kansas City wants to stick with a five-man starting staff.

Harvey (0-1) allowed three runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts in three innings in a loss to the Reds in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey gave up back-to-back homers to Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suarez in the third inning, and that was enough to stick him with the loss. The 31-year-old Harvey pitched to a 7.09 ERA and 39:29 K:BB in 59.2 innings with the Angels last year. His first look with the Royals was no better -- fantasy managers can't trust Harvey outside the deepest of formats. If he gets another turn in the rotation, Harvey would line up to face the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Harvey will start the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Reds, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It seemed likely that Harvey was going to start one of the two games after getting called up Tuesday. His days of being an interesting fantasy option are long behind him, however, as he owns a 5.65 ERA over the last four years split between the Mets, Reds and Angels.

Harvey was called up by the Royals on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harvey hasn't been good for quite some time, but he still might be good enough for the Royals, who are short on rotation options at the moment and who play a doubleheader against the Reds on Wednesday. It hasn't yet been confirmed that Harvey will start one of those games, though he'll presumably be starting sometime soon. The 31-year-old hasn't done much lately to suggest he'll be a reliable fantasy option, however, as he posted a 7.09 ERA last season and owns a 5.65 ERA over the last four seasons combined.

Harvey signed a minor-league deal with the Royals on Tuesday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old is unlikely to be anything other than organizational depth for the Royals this season unless he unexpectedly impresses while throwing at the team's alternate training site. His lowest ERA in the last four years was a 4.86 mark back in 2016, and he struggled to an awful 7.09 mark in 12 starts for the Angels last year.

Harvey is close to signing a minor-league deal with the Royals, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Flanagan, Harvey will report to the team's alternative camp site, where he will apparently focus on gearing up for the 2021 campaign. That said, as Jon Heyman of MLB Network notes, the Royals are currently down a pair of starters due to illness (Brad Keller and Jakob Junis), so Harvey could get a chance to work his way into the rotation in 2020. The right-hander spent time with the Angels in 2019 but struggled to a 7.09 ERA and 1.54 WHIP across 59.2 innings before being cut loose.
