Teixeira is expected to have precautionary X-Rays on his shin, Pete Caldera of Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Teixeira was hit in the shin by a pitch in Wednesday's game and while he's not worried it's a long-term issue, he is "pretty sore" and will go in for X-Rays to make sure there's no structural damage. Teixeira is being replaced by Rob Refsnyder in the lineup Thursday as the 39-year-old seeks a medical diagnosis.

Teixeira is not in the lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Teixeira has seen playing time in 14 consecutive games but will get a night off Thursday as Rob Refsnyder replaces him at first and bats eighth. Teixeira's average has't been above .200 since late May but he is slashing .333/.484/.542 over his last eight games.

Teixeira got on base all four times up Wednesday against the Mets -- he hit a three-run homer, drew two walks, was hit by a pitch and scored three times.
EDGE Analysis
A 31-homer man last year, it's taken Teixeira into early August just to crack double digits in 2016. He's drawn five walks in the last two games and, for what it's worth, the aging slugger's average is up to its highest point -- a miserable .198 -- since the middle of May.

Teixeira is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays, Wallace Matthews of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Joe Girardi will give Teixeira a rest after the veteran logged seven consecutive starts at first base. He'll be replaced in the lineup by Rob Refsnyder, who should have a favorable matchup as a right-handed hitter against Rays rookie lefty Blake Snell.

Teixeira went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The blast was his ninth of the season, but his fourth of the month as the first baseman is beginning to show signs of regaining his power stroke. Teixeira is still hitting a dismal .188 though, so he'll need a stronger power resurgence to make up for the lack of production in the average department.

Teixeira is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Giants, Erik Boland of Newsday Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Teixeira will get the day off in favor of Rob Refsnyder at first base as the Yankees go up against Madison Bumgarner and the Giants. He has started the past two games after returning to the lineup Wednesday following a foot injury that cost him three games. Teixeira will rest up Friday, and likely return to the field Saturday.

Teixeira (foot) homered, walked twice and drove home two runs in his return to the lineup Wednesday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
After three games out of the lineup, Teixeira got back in there and posted far better results than we've generally seen from him this year. After all, he's still hitting only .189 with a modest eight homers in 64 games; at 36 years old, the first baseman's clearly well past his prime. He'd need to go on a terrific surge to earn any fantasy consideration down the stretch.

Teixeira (foot) is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles, batting fifth and playing first base.
EDGE Analysis
After missing three consecutive games to rest his sore foot, Teixeira makes his return to the lineup for Wednesday's tilt. He'll be facing Yovani Gallardo, a pitcher he's gone just 2-for-12 against in his career.

Teixeira (foot) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest with Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Teixeira will see the bench for the third game in a row as he continues to recovery from fouling a ball off his foot in Saturday's game against the Red Sox. The 36-year-old has gone hitless in eight at-bats since the All-Star break. He'll be replaced in the lineup Tuesday by Rob Refsnyder, who's playing first and batting ninth.

Teixeira (foot) be not return to the lineup until Friday, the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though everything came back clean on the X-rays and a CT scan, the first baseman reported that he was still very sore and in pain after fouling a ball off his left foot Saturday. At the very least, manager Joe Girardi already indicated he doesn't expect to have Teixeira available Tuesday and there seems to be a chance his absence will be a bit lengthier.
