Gausman (11-8) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk over eight innings in a 5-1 victory over the Royals. He struck out 10.
EDGE Analysis
An Edward Olivares solo shot in the fifth inning was the only blemish on his line, as Gausman delivered his 18th quality start of the season and his eighth outing with double-digit strikeouts. The right-hander's been a little more erratic in the second half, but he still sports a 3.83 ERA and 64:15 K:BB through 51.2 innings since the All-Star break. Gausman will likely take the mound next in a key wild-card battle next week during a home series against the Rangers.

Gausman did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over four innings against the Rockies. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman needed 67 pitches to complete four innings, but he did not return for the fifth due to a 59-minute rain delay. Prior to the delay, Gausman was not at his sharpest, allowing all three runs and seven baserunners in the third and fourth innings. His five strikeouts lifted his season total to a league-leading 207 in 159.1 innings. He'll carry a 3.39 ERA and 1.21 WHIP into his next start, likely to take place at home against the Royals over the weekend.

Gausman (10-8) earned the win Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings against Washington. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman had to contend with traffic in all five innings, though he held the Nationals to three runs to reach double-digits in win. The 32-year-old Gausman has been somewhat inconsistent of late, pitching to a 5.51 ERA over his last three outings. Overall, he sports a 3.30 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP and 202:40 K:BB across 26 starts (87 innings) this season. Gausman currently lines up for a road matchup with the Rockies in his next outing.

Gausman (9-8) took the loss against Baltimore on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman matched Orioles starter Dean Kremer by yielding just five hits over six frames, but three of the knocks against Gausman went for extra bases while those against Kremer were all singles. Consequently, the Toronto ace allowed a pair of runs, which was enough to tag him with the loss in a contest during which the Blue Jays were unable to score. This was nonetheless a solid bounce-back for Gausman after he gave up seven runs (five earned) over 5.1 frames against Philadelphia in his previous outing, and he moved back into sole possession of the AL strikeout lead with his eight punchouts. The veteran right-hander has posted a 3.23 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 195:38 K:BB over 150.1 innings on the campaign.

Gausman (9-7) took the loss Wednesday, coughing up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and three walks over 5.1 innings as the Blue Jays were downed 9-4 by the Phillies. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander continues to alternate strong outings with poor ones since the All-Star break, and this one was particularly rough as Gausman managed to generate only six swinging strikes among his 84 pitches. Over his last five starts, he's posted a 4.08 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 34:8 K:BB through 28.2 innings, a step back from his performance in the first half of the season. He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, likely to come next week in Baltimore.

Gausman (9-6) earned the win over Cleveland on Wednesday, allowing four hits and no walks while striking out six batters over seven scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman opened the contest by giving up a leadoff single, but he allowed just three more baserunners the rest of the way and didn't put multiple runners on base in any frame. The right-hander completed seven innings for the first time since June 6 and finished with his 16th quality start, tied for third in the majors. Gausman also ranks first among American League qualified pitchers with 183 strikeouts, third with a 3.04 ERA and 12th with a 1.14 WHIP.

Gausman (8-6) took the loss Thursday, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks over 4.1 innings against Baltimore. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman allowed multiple baserunners in three separate frames and was pulled with one out in the fifth after a Ryan O'Hearn single. This marks the 32-year-old right-hander's shortest outing since he went just 3.1 innings against the Red Sox on May 4. However, it's worth noting that Gausman had been exceptional between these two rough starts, going 6-2 with a 2.73 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 113:25 K:BB across 85.2 innings during that stretch. He will look to rebound in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come against Cleveland.

Gausman (8-5) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over six innings in a 4-1 victory over the Angels. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander served up a solo shot to Shohei Ohtani in the first inning but buckled down after that, delivering his 15th quality start of the season -- tied for third in MLB, one back of Gerrit Cole and Logan Webb -- on 105 pitches, including 19 swinging strikes. Gausman will carry a 3.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 171:32 K:BB through 127.2 innings into his next outing, which is likely to come at home next week against the Orioles.

Gausman didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-8 loss to the Mariners, giving up four runs -- all on solo home runs -- over six innings. He struck out nine without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander gave up only five hits in total, but when Seattle's bats made contact, the ball went a long way. It's the first time since April 17 that Gausman has served up multiple homers in a start, so this performance likely isn't the beginning of a trend. He'll take a 3.18 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and dazzling 162:29 K:BB through 121.2 innings into his next outing, which is likely to come at home next weekend against the Angels.

Gausman (side) is listed as the Blue Jays' starting pitcher for Saturday's game in Seattle, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman will be cleared for his first start of the second half after he completed a bullpen session without issue Wednesday. The right-hander was scratched from his last scheduled outing this past weekend against the Padres with left side discomfort, but he was never placed on the 15-day injured list.
