Kevin Correia hurled seven innings of one-run ball Sunday in a victory over the Rangers. He struck out only two, but held Texas to five hits and one walk. Correia was impeccable outside of Mitch Moreland's leadoff homer in the third. The veteran right-hander has pitched at least 6 2/3 innings in each of his last five starts, allowing just seven earned runs in those 35 innings. Correia hopes to stay hot next weekend against the Blue Jays.

Kevin Correia shut out the Royals for seven innings but settled for a no-decision in the Twins' loss on Tuesday. Correia was matched pitch-for-pitch by Royals starter James Shields, but the Royals finally got the better of the matchup after Correia's exit. In his seven innings, the right-hander gave up six hits and two walks while striking out seven. Correia has gotten stronger as the season has progressed, too -- he's now thrown at least 6 2/3 innings in each of his last four starts, allowing just six earned runs in those 28 innings. He's got a very tough matchup looming against the Rangers in Arlington on Sunday.

Kevin Correia allowed four runs -- two earned -- over 6 2/3 innings to suffer the loss against the Tigers on Wednesday. It was a particularly painful way for Correia to lose, as he got Prince Fielder to swing at strike three to end the inning but the ball got away from catcher Ryan Doumit, allowing a run to score and letting Fielder to take first base. The next batter, Victor Martinez, doubled in another run, ending Correia's otherwise decent night. Alas, Correia fell to 8-10 and owns a 4.52 ERA heading into his Tuesday start against the Royals.

Kevin Correia yielded five runs (four earned) over 7 1/3 innings in a loss to the White Sox on Friday. Correia pitched into the eighth inning for the first time since April 28, but it still resulted in his ninth loss. He allowed nine hits (including two solo homers) and one walk while striking out three. Giving Correia a two-year, $10 million contract over the winter was a curious decision on the day the deal was signed and his 4.61 ERA through 24 starts has done little to sway the critics. He's not to be trusted in fantasy leagues, especially with a start against the Tigers up next.

Kevin Correia fired seven innings of shutout ball in Sunday's win against the White Sox. He scattered five hits, struck out seven and walked one, quite the rebound performance after Correia was lit up for six runs in two innings by the Royals on Monday. Joe Mauer cited Correia's changeup and curveball as reasons for the right-hander's success against Chicago's offense in an interview after the game. Minnesota's All-Star catcher knows as well as the rest of us that Correia's minimal offerings force him to be near perfect in order to enjoy success against major league lineups. Correia (8-8, 4.59 ERA) was that this afternoon, but we'd never wager on him duplicating the act.

Kevin Correia was lit up for six runs in two innings by the Royals on Monday. It's the second time in three starts that Correia has given up six runs while getting no more than six outs. The Twins don't have anyone they want to move into the rotation at the moment, so they'll likely stick with their veteran. Obviously, he's entirely without fantasy value.

Kevin Correia was smoked for six runs over 1 2/3 innings Thursday in a loss to the Mariners. It was his shortest outing of the season. He gave up all six runs in the second inning before being pulled. Correia started the season hot, but he has a 5.60 ERA in 15 starts since the start of May. There's no reason to pay attention to him in fantasy leagues right now.

Kevin Correia allowed two runs in six innings Saturday in the Twins' 3-2 win against the Indians. It was a solid outing for Correia against a tough Cleveland offense. He yielded only one walk and struck out three, moving to 7-6 with a 4.17 ERA. The right-hander will face off against the Mariners in Seattle next.

Kevin Correia allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Wednesday. Correia limited the Rays to three runs despite allowing five hits and five walks in his 5 1/3 innings of work. He was aided in part by his six strikeouts. He's 6-6 with a 4.23 ERA in 18 starts at the break.

Kevin Correia struggled in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays, surrendering four runs on 10 hits and three walks in his six innings. Correia fanned three on the evening. Jose Bautista got the scoring started with a solo homer in the third inning and added an RBI single in the three-run fourth to cap the damage against him. The loss evens Correia's record at 6-6 and drops his ERA to 4.19. He'll look to get back on track when he takes on the Rays in Tampa Bay on Wednesday.
