Teheran will continue starting every fifth game for the Angels moving forward, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Angels manager Joe Maddon said Monday that Teheran wasn't quite up to speed after returning from a bout with COVID-19, but a day later the skipper dismissed the notion that Teheran's schedule or role could be adjusted. "I have a lot of faith in him as a professional," Maddon said. "I've seen him. This guy really competes, and he really cares. I believe he'll get together with Mickey (Callaway) and figure some things out. This is a high-end guy right here, so let's stay with it." Teheran has struggled in his two starts this season, allowing seven runs on seven hits and four walks through 4.2 innings.

Teheran (0-1) didn't factor into the decision in Monday's contest between the Angels and the Athletics. He gave up five runs on five hits -- including two home runs -- and two walks while fanning one in just two innings.
EDGE Analysis
Teheran has been struggling so far, giving up seven earned runs in just 4.2 innings across his first two outings of the campaign. He will try to bounce back in his next scheduled start, although it won't be an easy matchup since he will face the Dodgers at home Aug. 16.

Teheran (0-1) was tagged with the loss Wednesday against the Mariners. He allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while fanning two across 2.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Teheran was built up to around 60 pitches and tossed 52 (33 strikes), so he was unlikely to go deep into the game regardless of how good he could have looked on the mound. He will try to deliver a better showing in his upcoming start, scheduled for Aug. 10 at home against the Athletics.

Teheran (not injury related) was activated off the injured list ahead of his start Wednesday at Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old missed most of summer camp and the beginning of the regular season after contracting COVID-19, but he's set to make his 2020 debut Wednesday. According to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com, Teheran is built up to about 60 pitches, so he's unlikely to go much beyond four innings. The veteran right-hander had a 3.81 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 162:83 K:BB over 174.2 innings with Atlanta last season.

Teheran (not injury related) will start against the Mariners on Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Teheran missed most of summer camp and the start of the regular season after a bout with COVID-19, but he has apparently built up enough to be ready to take the mound Wednesday. The start will mark Teheran's debut with the Angels after nine seasons with Atlanta, though he isn't likely to be ready to take on a full starter's workload. Teheran registered a 3.81 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 174.2 innings with the Braves last season.

Teheran (not injury related) is expected to throw at least once more at the team's alternate training site before joining the big-league club, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
A specific return date for Teheran remains undecided, though it appears unlikely that the right-hander will make his Angels debut before next weekend. Manager Joe Maddon did leave open the possibility that Teheran's arrival could be expedited if the need arises, though he would likely be on a limited pitch count if that situation were to occur. Teheran missed most of summer camp after testing positive for COVID-19.

Teheran (not injury related) is expected to join the Angels sometime next week, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team hasn't indicated a specific return date for the 29-year-old, but the demotion of sixth-starter Patrick Sandoval to the alternate training site indicates the veteran is nearly ready. Teheran threw a light bullpen session Tuesday and is scheduled for a three-inning outing Thursday. The right-hander figures to be limited to four or five innings early on as he continues to ramp things up after missing most of summer camp.

Teheran (not injury related) is scheduled to throw three innings during an intrasquad game Thursday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old was originally scheduled for a similar outing Tuesday, but he instead completed a light bullpen session. Manager Joe Maddon indicated the change in schedule wasn't injury related. If all goes well Thursday, Teheran could join the Angels sometime next week, though he won't have the workload of a traditional starter out of the gate due to his absence from most of summer camp.

Teheran will throw approximately 55 pitches in three simulated innings at the Angels' secondary training site Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Teheran missed most of camp after testing positive for COVID-19, so he's understandably behind his teammates and remains on the injured list for now. Tuesday's session is expected to be his final one before joining the active roster, so he could make his Angels debut in about a week. He likely won't be able to handle a true starter's workload in his first few turns in the rotation, however.

Teheran (illness) threw a two-inning simulated game Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Teheran continues to work his way back into shape after falling ill with coronavirus symptoms in late June. The right-hander missed nearly all of summer camp and remains on the injured list while he builds his arm back up. It's a positive sign that Teheran is back on the mound, but he's likely at least a week away from being ready to join the Angels' rotation.
