Tomlin struck out two in a perfect inning of relief Wednesday to record his third hold of the season in a win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The former Cleveland starter is adapting well to his role in Atlanta's bullpen, posting a 2.77 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 12:1 K:BB through 13 innings. The team's injury-ravaged bullpen -- five different Atlanta relievers are currently on the IL -- has pushed Tomlin into a higher-leverage role, but he's held his own by picking up holds in three of his last four appearances, potentially putting him on the fantasy radar in deeper leagues that utilize the category.

Tomlin struck out one over two perfect innings of relief in Friday's loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander has been used sparingly so far, but Tomlin's 2.45 ERA and 0.55 WHIP in three appearances show he's gotten the job done when required. He'll continue working in a low-leverage role for Atlanta, giving him limited fantasy appeal.

Tomlin will be on the Braves' Opening Day roster, 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin joined the Braves on a minor-league deal last week after being released by the Brewers. The right-hander fired three scoreless innings in his only spring appearance for Atlanta, but apparently that was enough for the team to include him on its Opening Day roster. Tomlin stumbled to a 6.14 ERA, 5.9 K/9 and 3.2 HR/9 in 70.1 innings last season.

Tomlin will get the start for the Braves on Saturday, Tim Tucker of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The club will waste no time in taking a first-hand look at their newest acquisition. Tomlin almost certainly won't crack Atlanta's Opening Day roster, but the former Cleveland hurler could at least set himself up for a future opportunity with a solid performance.

Tomlin agreed to a minor-league contract which includes an invitation to major-league spring training with the Braves on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin didn't have to wait long to find work after being released by the Brewers on Wednesday. He's likely looking at a long-relief role at best in Atlanta as the team has a number of interesting young starters ahead of him.

Tomlin was released by the Brewers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin has an incredibly low 3.5 percent walk rate over the course of his career, but he's also struck out just 16.3 percent of opposing hitters. With a fastball that has averaged less than 88 mph for three straight seasons, he's best suited for a mop-up role at this stage of his career. The Brewers didn't have innings to offer him, but he could still latch on with a team, probably a rebuilding one.

The Brewers are expected to make a decision regarding Tomlin in the coming days, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin's contract apparently includes an opt-out clause that kicks in later in the week. He owns a lackluster 4.80 ERA and 9:2 K:BB through 15 innings this spring, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him part ways with the Brewers in search of another major-league opportunity, should Milwaukee choose to leave him off its 40-man roster.

Tomlin allowed one earned run over four innings of relief in Friday's spring game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin was tagged for six earned runs over three innings in a March 3 appearance, but he has been much sharper since, allowing just one hit and a walk over five innings on March 9 before delivering Friday's results. Tomlin is competing for a spot in the Brewers' rotation and is seemingly on the outside looking in, but he certainly put his best foot forward his last two times out.

Tomlin signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin should compete for a long-relief role during camp. The veteran right-hander struggled as both as starter and reliever in 2018, compiling a 6.14 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 5.9 K/9 across 70.1 innings (nine starts, 23 relief appearances). Tomlin will need to fix his homer issues -- he allowed a whopping 3.2 HR/9 in 2018 -- if he wants to hold a big-league gig next season.

Tomlin was left off the Indians' roster for the ALDS against Houston, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering he logged a 6.14 ERA (7.20 FIP) with just 46 strikeouts in 70.1 innings of work this season. Though he was primarily utilized as a reliever most of the year, Tomlin started three games in September, but didn't show enough to be included on the postseason roster.
