Ross (1-4) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks across five innings against the Royals. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Each of the three hits Ross allowed went for extra bases, including back-to-back two-baggers by Maikel Garcia and Bobby Witt in the first inning -- both of whom scored via sacrifice fly. Ross has been handed a loss in four of his last five outings, owning a 5.88 ERA and a 19:8 K:BB across 26.0 innings during that stretch. He'll look to get back on track in a tentatively scheduled start Tuesday against Pittsburgh.

Ross did not factor into the decision Friday against the Cubs, allowing one run on six hits over six innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Ross was solid Friday, holding Chicago off the board until a Christopher Morel solo home run with two outs in the sixth inning. While Ross ultimately came away with a no-decision, he was able to stem a three-start losing streak -- he'd allowed 16 runs (13 earned) over 15 innings in that span. Overall, Ross is 1-3 with a 4.65 ERA, 1,55 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB through six starts (31 innings) this season. He's currently scheduled for a road matchup with Kansas City in his next outing.

Ross (1-3) took the loss Saturday against the Yankees after he gave up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Ross continued his boom-or-bust tendencies Saturday, as he's given up six earned runs in two starts and three earned runs combined in his other three outings. The veteran right-hander likely has some security in Milwaukee's rotation with Wade Miley (elbow) out for the season and Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) also on the shelf, but Ross has a 5.40 ERA and 1.68 WHIP through five starts and is a volatile fantasy option.

Ross (1-1) took the loss Monday against Pittsburgh, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Ross held the Pirates offense in check Monday night with his only blemish being a leadoff homer yielded to Andrew McCutchen. With Monday's effort, the 30-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 4.05. Ross looks to continue sticking in the Milwaukee rotation with DL Hall (knee) and Wade Miley (elbow) recently hitting the injured list. Ross is slated to make his next start against the Yankees at home.

Ross (1-1) yielded seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Ross worked through three shutout frames before the Padres got on the board in the fourth inning. Things unraveled in the fifth when San Diego plated six runs. He's allowed just two runs over 10 innings this season before Monday's rough outing. Ross saw his ERA jump to 4.91 alongside a 14:8 K:BB. Ross is projected to take the mound in St. Louis this weekend.

Ross (1-0) earned the win Tuesday against the Reds, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Ross looked good Tuesday, holding Cincinnati to a lone run through his first six innings en route to his first big-league win since 2021. The 30-year-old right-hander has allowed just two earned runs over 10 innings through his first two starts. Ross figures to remain in the rotation until Wade Miley (shoulder) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) are able to return. He's currently in line to face the Padres in his next start early next week.

Ross came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Twins, giving up two hits and five walks over 3.2 scoreless innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first big-league start since late 2021, Ross threw only 38 of 73 pitches for strikes before being lifted, although he was able to avoid any damage from all the traffic he put on the basepaths. Despite the shaky outing, he might not be in much danger of losing his spot in the rotation for the time being. Per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee will likely need to use a six-man rotation over the next month, as the team is scheduled for 13 games in a row and 26 over the next 27 days.

Ross will start Wednesday's game against the Twins, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross hasn't pitched in the majors since 2021 and had a 4.50 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 17 strikeouts in 12 innings during spring training. Wade Miley is on the injured list with a shoulder impingement, but the expectation is that he will join the rotation sometime around April 9 or later that week. Once Miley returns, Ross would be a candidate to move to long relief.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Friday that he views Ross primarily as a starting pitcher, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murphy didn't confirm Ross would be in the Brewers' starting rotation Opening Day, but Murphy's statement does suggest that Ross is more likely to be sent to Triple-A Nashville than come out of Milwaukee's bullpen should the 30-year-old righty lose out on a starting job. Ross hasn't pitched in the majors since 2021 and has surrendered five runs across seven innings so far this spring.

Ross signed a one-year, major-league contract with the Brewers on Monday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross has thrown a combined 17 innings over the last two seasons -- none of them at the major-league level -- following a second Tommy John surgery. However, that hasn't stopped the Brewers from handing the right-hander a major-league deal in hopes that he's healthy and ready to contribute in 2024. Ross, 30, holds a career 4.26 ERA and 403:141 K:BB over 443.1 innings at the big-league level.
