Hellickson (7-6) gave up three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out a season-high nine Angels over six innings in Tuesday's 3-2 loss.
EDGE Analysis
His first two outings with Baltimore have been quite promising, as Hellickson's delivered a pair of quality efforts far more reminiscent of his 2016 success than his 2017 struggles. Still, he's pretty much the definition of mediocrity as far as major-league pitchers go, so use Hellickson with caution in the fantasy realm. He'll take his next turn Sunday in Oakland.

Hellickson (7-5) tossed seven scoreless frames in his Orioles debut, allowing just five hits and one walk while striking out three Royals in Wednesday's win.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday was only the second time in 2017 that Hellickson didn't surrender a run during a start, and it was the first time since September 17 (23 starts) in which the right-hander threw at least seven shutout innings. Facing a surging Royals lineup, the newest Oriole put together his finest outing of the year, working through a 35-minute rain delay before leaving to a standing ovation from the home crowd. Hellickson didn't allow a runner to reach second base until the sixth inning while dropping his ERA from 4.73 to 4.45. He's slated to make his next start on the road Tuesday against the Angels.

Hellickson said that he would make his Orioles debut Wednesday against the Royals, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson, who was acquired from the Phillies on Friday, won't be enough to rescue a porous Orioles rotation, but he should at least represent an upgrade over a few of the arms that manager Buck Showalter has been forced to trot out this season. The 30-year-old probably won't carry much fantasy appeal, however, especially while he maintains a career-worst 5.2 K/9 rate on the season to go along with a 4.73 ERA and 1.26 WHIP.

Hellickson was traded to the Orioles on Friday, Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander provides much-needed depth to a beleaguered Orioles' rotation, most likely taking the place of Ubaldo Jimenez or Chris Tillman, both of whom have struggled mightily this season. Hellickson hasn't been particularly impressive in his own right recently, racking up a 6.04 ERA over his last four outings to raise his FIP to an ugly 5.50 on the season. Nonetheless, he provides an seasoned starter who can eat up innings in the long run, even though his 1.76 HR/9 could pose a problem in the hitter-friendly confines of Camden Yards.

Hellickson was scratched from Friday's start against the Braves, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The general thought is that this isn't due to injury but instead due to a trade involving Hellickson, although no official word has come out on that front. More information should be available soon. Jake Thompson will make Friday's start in his stead.

Hellickson (6-5) allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six across five innings, but received no decision Saturday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson did well his first time through the batting order, but was hammered for four runs in the third inning, but the Phillies offense came up huge after his departure to take him off the hook for a potential loss. He's thrown just four quality starts over his last nine outings, and is 4.73 ERA makes him a difficult player to trust in fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Friday against the Braves.

Hellickson (calf) will start Saturday against the Brewers, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson left his last start with some tightness in his right calf, but he was never in any danger of missing this game. He faced the Brewers in his last start, holding them to two runs on four hits over five innings with six strikeouts and a walk.

Hellickson left Sunday's game after five innings because of tightness in his right calf, Matt Gelb of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Pete Mackanin said after Sunday's game that the tightness is "not a big issue." Hellickson is expected to make his next start Saturday against the Brewers.

Hellickson (6-5) beat the Brewers with five innings of two-run ball Sunday. He surrendered four hits while walking one and striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson fell behind 2-1 in the fifth inning after allowing a two-run homer to Brett Phillips, but Philadelphia's offense picked him up with four runs in the top of the sixth and the bullpen added four shutout innings to secure the right-hander's sixth win. While the 30-year old veteran owns a disappointing 4.44 ERA, his proven track record makes him an appealing rental option for contending teams looking to add pitching at the trade deadline. Assuming he stays in Philadelphia for now, Hellickson's next start will come Saturday against these same Brewers.

Hellickson gave up three runs on five hits over six innings in Thursday's no-decision against the Pirates. He struck out four without a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson left the game trailing 3-1, but was taken off the hook by Aaron Altherr's two-run single in the bottom of the seventh. The right-hander served up home runs to Josh Bell and Gregory Polanco, bringing his HR/9 to a career-worst 1.76. On the bright side, Hellickson heads into the All-Star break with just two walks in 18.1 innings over his past three starts. His first appearance of the second half is slated for next Friday in Milwaukee.
