Hellickson lasted 5.2 innings in a no decision Friday against the Cubs and did not allow a single hit. He gave up a pair of runs on four walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson walked the leadoff batter but then retired the next 17 in a row. He was removed in the sixth after walking three straight batters, the latter two on four pitches each. The strong outing lowered his ERA to 3.54, and he continues to have success despite a middling 6.6 K/9. He'll look to keep the momentum going Wednesday in St. Louis.

Hellickson (4-2) allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits while fanning four across 4.2 innings Sunday as he was saddled with the loss against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson surrendered a run in both the second and third innings, but his outing fell apart in the fifth when the Marlins plated three. Through five starts in July, the 31-year-old has given up 15 runs over 24.2 innings with 18 strikeouts, so he'll look to turn it around in August following a disappointing month.

Hellickson allowed three runs on seven hits in five innings against the Brewers on Tuesday, striking out three and walking one in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson had a scoreless outing into the fifth inning before allowing an RBI groundout to Eric Thames and a two-run homer to Christian Yelich. Hellickson threw 79 pitches (55 for strikes) in Tuesday's outing and has not thrown over 80 pitches in his last four consecutive starts. The righty carries a 3.44 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with a 52:13 K:BB in 68 innings. His next start will be a matchup with the Marlins in Miami.

Hellickson (4-1) allowed one run on two hits and two walks while fanning six across six innings as he notched the victory Sunday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson has been brilliant over his last two starts, surrendering just one run on four hits over 11 innings while striking out nine. He'll attempt to sustain his recent success in the second half, as he enters the All-Star break with a 3.29 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with a 49:12 K:BB over 63 innings.

Hellickson surrendered nine runs -- eight earned -- over 4.0 innings in a no-decision Thursday against the Marlins. He rang up two strikeouts and one walk across 75 pitches.
EDGE Analysis
It was reported before his start that Hellickson was dealing with an illness, but he was still able to take the mound. Unfortunately, his effectiveness was sapped as he was tagged repeatedly by a subpar Marlins lineup. He struggled to miss bats and allowed two home runs to fall into what looked like an insurmountable deficit by the time his start was over. Hellickson has gone less than five innings in each of his first two starts since coming off the DL.

Hellickson is still planning to make his scheduled start Thursday against the Marlins, despite being sick, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear if Hellickson will work deep into his outing due to the illness, but he's expected to give it a go. The Nationals have called up Jefry Rodriguez as a long reliever in case Hellickson's outing is comprised by his sickness.

Hellickson (2-1) took the loss Saturday against the Phillies, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
A third-inning Odubel Herrera home run and fourth-inning RBI doubles from Jorge Alfaro and Aaron Altherr accounted for the trio of tallies against the returning righty, who recorded a strike on just 57 of 98 pitches. Hellickson draws a more favorable opponent (the Marlins) for his next scheduled outing Thursday. He's pitching over his head a bit with his 2.63 ERA but has displayed sparkling control and command (7.1 K/9, 1.5 BB/9) that justify trusting him for the near future in deeper fantasy setups.

Hellickson (hamstring) was activated from the disabled list and will start Saturday against the Phillies, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson hasn't pitched since June 3 after suffering a hamstring injury. He's set to square off against Vince Velasquez in Philadelphia. Sammy Solis was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move.

Hellickson (hamstring) is expected to come off the disabled list to start Saturday in Philadelphia, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
He strained his hamstring on June 3, and will throw a regular between-starts bullpen session this week before taking the ball this weekend against the Phillies. Hellickson has a 2.28 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 34 strikeouts in 43.1 innings this season. Regression is clearly coming to some extent, but given his team context, Hellickson has a chance to remain relevant in mixed leagues the rest of the way.

Hellickson (hamstring) will rejoin the Nationals' starting rotation for his next outing, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hellickson was tagged for 11 earned runs in a rehab start Sunday, but manager Dave Martinez is willing to overlook that, and will re-insert Hellickson into the big league rotation either Friday or shortly thereafter.
