Jackson was designated for assignment by the Twins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran reliever will be removed from the 40-man roster to free up space for right-hander Caleb Boushley, who was recalled by Minnesota in a corresponding move. Jackson will likely pitch for Minnesota's Triple-A affiliate in St. Paul if not picked up by another team.

Jackson allowed two hits with no walks while striking out two over two scoreless innings in Saturday's 16-5 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson has an impressive 17:5 K:BB ratio in 14.2 innings, but has given up three home runs helping result in a not-as-impressive 4.30 ERA. He's become a steady option as a setup man, but isn't being used in enough high-leverage spots to accumulate many holds or save chances.

Jackson signed a contract with the Twins on Sunday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson was outrighted to Triple-A by the Blue Jays in early October and elected free agency in November. He was able to land a major-league contract with Minnesota just before the start of spring training and will now attempt to carve out a role in the Twins' bullpen. He's made appearances with San Francisco, Atlanta and Toronto over the past three seasons, posting a 2.73 ERA and 1.04 ERA in 52.2 innings over 50 outings.

Jackson elected to become a free agent Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson was removed from the Blue Jays' 40-man roster last month and has now formally rejected an outright assignment to Triple-A Buffalo. The 36-year-old right-hander should draw a decent amount of interest on the open market this winter after working to a 2.12 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 27:9 K:BB over 29.2 innings of relief with Toronto in 2023.

Jackson cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a little surprising to see Jackson pass through waivers unclaimed after he held a 2.12 ERA, 0.91 WHIP with 27 strikeouts in 29.2 innings this season. As it is, he'll be part of the Blue Jays' AL Wild Card Series taxi squad, hanging around and working out in case he's needed as an injury replacement.

Jackson was designated for assignment Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
A beloved clubhouse presence, Jackson's removal from the 40-man roster was done to clear room for Sunday's starter, Wes Parsons. Jackson had a 2.12 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 27 strikeouts in 29.2 innings this season.

Jackson was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson boasts a 2.36 ERA and 25:8 K:BB over 26.2 innings this season but has found himself being sent back and forth between the majors and minors simply because he has options. He'll work in middle relief for the Blue Jays.

Jackson will be optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll lose his spot on the 28-man active roster as the Blue Jays make room for Erik Swanson's (back) return from the 15-day injured list. Jackson has been up and down between the majors and minors this season but has pitched well when with the big club, holding a 2.36 ERA and 25:8 K:BB over 26.2 frames.

The Blue Jays recalled Jackson from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Toronto brought Jackson aboard to provide the team with another right-handed option out of the bullpen after setup man Erik Swanson (spine) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Over his 18 appearances with the Blue Jays this season, Jackson has compiled a 1.64 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 22 innings.
