Heyward is not in the starting lineup Friday versus the Rangers, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heyward will head to the bench as the Dodgers face off with southpaw Andrew Heaney on Friday. Mookie Betts will slot in at right field while Yonny Hernandez enters the lineup at second base and bats ninth in the series opener with Texas.

Heyward slugged a three-run home run in his lone plate appearance in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Heyward's ninth home run of the season accounted for most of the damage in the Dodgers' five-run second inning, which gave starter Michael Grove all the run support he would need on the evening. He ended up being replaced for pinch hitter Jake Marisnick in the third inning, but Heyward's early exit wasn't the result of any setback with the neck stinger he picked up over the weekend. In fact, Heyward is back in the lineup Wednesday for a day game after a night game, manning right field and batting sixth.

Heyward (neck) is starting in right field and batting seventh Monday against the Orioles, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heyward will return to the lineup after exiting Sunday's loss to the Mets early with what manager Dave Roberts described as a "stinger". The 33-year-old has gone 1-for-6 with two runs scored and a walk over the Dodgers' three games since the All-Star break.

Manager Dave Roberts said after Sunday's game against the Mets that Heyward had a stinger and is considered day-to-day, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heyward sustained his injury in the top of the second inning and was replaced defensively in the bottom of the fourth. His injury was labeled as neck soreness, and he passed concussion testing after the game. While it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Monday's game against the Orioles, it seems unlikely that he'll require a trip to the injured list.

Heyward exited Sunday's game against the Mets due to neck soreness.
EDGE Analysis
Heyward went down in the top of the second inning and was able to remain in the game, but he was replaced defensively in the bottom of the fourth. The severity of his injury isn't yet known, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for Monday's series opener in Baltimore.

Heyward went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 14-3 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Heyward's found a groove at the plate, going 8-for-18 (.444) over his last six contests. The veteran outfielder was hitting just .226 on June 20, but he's up to .252 with an .822 OPS after Thursday's productive effort. He's added eight home runs, 18 RBI, 31 runs scored, 11 doubles and two stolen bases through 62 contests. Heyward's seen a little less than a strong-side platoon role lately -- he's yet to start versus a southpaw this season, and he's no lock for the lineup against righties given the Dodgers' crowded outfield.

Heyward went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, an additional run and an additional RBI in an 8-7 win against Houston on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Heyward helped Los Angeles get off to a fast start with a two-run shot in the first inning, and he was part of the team's eighth-inning comeback with a sacrifice fly. The veteran outfielder has seen inconsistent playing time of late, and Saturday's homer and runs batted in were each his first since June 11. Heyward has flashed good power with eight long balls over 165 plate appearances on the season, but his fantasy appeal is limited to occasional streaming in favorable matchups.

Heyward went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Los Angeles managed just five hits in the contest, with Heyward's seventh-inning solo shot accounting for one of the team's three runs. The long ball was the seventh of the season for the veteran after he went deep just once in 48 games for the Cubs last year. Heyward has gone 5-for-19 while playing sporadically in June, and his RBI on Sunday was his first this month.

Heyward started in left field for the Dodgers on Friday, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run in an 8-4 win against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Per the Associated Press, this was Heyward's first appearance in left field in 1,623 career major-league contests. The veteran has seen his playing time decrease since J.D. Martinez returned from a stint on the IL in mid-May, so the Dodgers may be asking him to take an occasional turn in left in order to get his bat in the lineup a little more often. Heyward has hit pretty well when given the opportunity during his first campaign with Los Angeles, slashing .238/.352/.486 with six homers, eight doubles, 13 RBI, 20 runs and two steals over 125 plate appearances.

Heyward went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBI, two walks and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
This was Heyward's third multi-hit effort in his last eight games, a span in which he's gone 8-for-22 (.364) with two long balls and five RBI. The outfielder continues to see playing time around the outfield versus right-handed pitchers. He's hitting a meager .230, but he's posted an .830 OPS, six homers, 13 RBI, 19 runs scored and two stolen bases over 120 plate appearances this season.
