Atlanta Braves pitcher Jason Frasor was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday due to a shoulder injury. Frasor suffered a right shoulder strain during Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies and doesn't yet have a timetable for his return.

Frasor was signed by the Braves on Thursday, Ken Rosenthal of Fox reports. Frasor was released by the Royals on Monday, but has quickly found a home in Atlanta. With an ERA of 1.54, Frasor was impressive at times in his stint with Kansas City, but 15 walks in 23.1 innings ultimately shortened his stay. Frasor is 37 years old and will need to prove himself once again before he sees regular time in the Braves' bullpen.

Frasor was released by the Royals on Monday, MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan reports. Frasor was designated for assignment last week, as a 1.54 ERA couldn't make up for 15 walks in 23.1 innings. He shouldn't have much trouble finding another opportunity if he wants one, but he'll likely need a successful stint in the minors before any organization lets him pitch out of its big-league bullpen.

Frasor was designated for assignment by the Royals on Monday, Joel Goldberg of Fox Sports Kansas City reports. Frasor held phenomenal peripherals for the Royals, posting a 1.54 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP in 23.1 innings. However, his 18:15 K:BB ratio made him a strong regression candidate over the second half of the season. Furthermore, the Royals had to choose between designating Frasor for assignment or optioning Brandon Finnegan to make room for Paulo Orlando and chose to get rid of Frasor. He should latch on with another team sooner rather than later.

Frasor gave up one hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn his first win of the season on Sunday against the Tigers. After a lengthy rain delay, Frasor came on in a tie game to shut the door on Detroit before the Royals took the lead for good in the top of the 10th. The 37-year-old has been great this season and owns a 0.79 ERA, but will likely see few opportunities for wins or saves in such a deep and talented Royals bullpen.

Frasor struck out two, but allowed a game-tying sacrifice fly in the sixth inning of Wednesday's victory over the White Sox. Frasor, though buried in a deep bullpen, appears to be the early favorite to take the sixth inning with a lead when a Kansas City starter is unable to make it there. He'll precede the devastating combination of Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis and Greg Holland.

Frasor agreed to a contract with the Royals on Friday. The deal will pay him $1.25 million in 2015 and includes a mutual option for 2016. Frasor gave up just three earned runs in 23 appearances after being acquired by the Royals in July, so the team decided to bring him back for at least one more year. He figures to work in middle relief in a loaded Royals bullpen.

Royals acquired RHP Jason Frasor from the Rangers in exchange for RHP Spencer Patton. The Royals' bullpen was already a big strength, and now they're a bit deeper. Frasor, 36, holds a 3.34 ERA with 30 strikeouts over 29 2/3 innings for the Rangers this season and will fit in nicely in a middle relief role in Kansas City.

Rangers re-signed RHP Jason Frasor to a one-year, $1.75 million contract. He'll have the opportunity to earn more through incentives. Frasor gets a modest raise from his $1.5 million salary in 2013 after posting a 2.57 ERA and 1.14 WHIP while striking out 48 over 49 innings. He should continue to be solid in middle relief for the Rangers in 2014.
