Romak was acquired by the SK Wyverns of the Korean Baseball Organization in exchange for cash Saturday, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Romak was mashing with Triple-A El Paso, posting a 1.192 OPS in 25 games with the Chihuahuas, and it seems the Padres opted to sell high on the 31-year-old. No word on how long he'll spend in Korea has emerged as of now, but there's a good chance he'll get a decent amount of playing time in the hitter-friendly environment.

Romak was placed on the temporary inactive list Thursday.

Perhaps he could see a few starts at third base, second base, or in the outfield over the final month, but regular playing time seems unlikely.
