Happ (7-4) took the loss Sunday against the Astros, allowing eight runs on 11 hits in four innings while striking out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
Happ was bitten by the long ball in this one. He allowed a leadoff home run to Jose Altuve before serving up a grand slam to Tyler White in the fourth inning and a two-run shot to Yordan Alvarez before exiting with no outs in the fifth inning. The veteran southpaw now owns a lackluster 5.23 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 66:19 K:BB through 84.1 innings (16 starts) this season. He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, which will likely come on the road against the Mets.

Happ (7-3) allowed two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and no walks across five innings while earning a victory against the Rays on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran left-hander has pitched better lately, but his record is still misleading. Happ is 7-3 but owns a 5.16 FIP. While he is 4-0 with a 3.54 ERA in his last five outings, the Yankees offense has been the main reason he's won six straight decisions. Since May 9, the Yankees have averaged 5.6 runs per game when Happ pitches. Overall, he possesses a 4.59 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 64 strikeouts in 80.1 innings this season. Happ will pitch next at home against the Astros on Sunday.

Happ did not factor into the decision in Thursday's loss to the White Sox, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks while striking out two through five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Happ looked solid until the fourth inning when he loaded the bases on a single and a pair of walks. It was the first time all year that Happ pitched with the bases loaded. Despite throwing nine straight balls, the 36-year-old managed to work his way out of the jam without any damage. Unfortunately, the White Sox got to Happ again in the fifth. The lefty gave up a leadoff walk to Yolmer Sanchez, then allowed a single to Ryan Cordell and an RBI double to Leury Garcia. Tim Anderson then crushed a three-run, 416-foot homer to even the score, 4-4. The long ball has proven to be Happ's nemesis, and Thursday was no exception. He'll carry a 4.68 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 61:19 K:BB into a Tuesday showdown with Tampa Bay.

Happ (5-3) allowed one run on three hits with five strikeouts and two walks across five innings to earn a victory against the Red Sox on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 36-year-old did tossed up another home run, but it was only a solo homer. With a 5.34 FIP, Happ hasn't exactly pitched well this season, but allowing long balls has been one of his biggest problems. Despite earning a win in four of his last five outings, Happ has a career-high 19.0 percent HR/FB and 2.13 HR/9. He is 5-3 with a 4.83 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 63.1 innings this season. Happ will face the Blue Jays in his next start Thursday.

Happ's scheduled start against the Red Sox on Thursday has been postponed due to inclement weather.
EDGE Analysis
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader in August. Happ will now start Friday, with Domingo German getting the ball Saturday and CC Sabathia starting Sunday.

Happ (4-3) struck out ten and picked up the win in Saturday's 7-3 victory over the Royals, giving up three runs on four hits over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Happ shut out the Royals until the sixth inning, but Whit Merrifield blasted a three-run homer to tie the score. The left-hander recovered to finish the inning before turning the game over to the Yankees bullpen after 82 pitches. The 36-year-old will carry a 5.09 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP and 50:13 K:BB over 58.1 innings into a tough matchup Thursday at home against the Red Sox.

Happ will start Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as no surprise, as Saturday is Happ's scheduled day to pitch. He'll take the mound for the first half of the twin bill, though the Yankees have yet to announce who will start the nightcap.

Happ gave up six runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out three through 3.2 innings in a no-decision against the Orioles on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Happ gave up two runs in the first inning and it didn't get any better from there as he gave up two solo home runs and two more runs before being removed. Over the last month, he has a 3-2 record with a 4.02 ERA, but he also has given up 10 home runs. Happ will look to bounce back in his next start Saturday against the Royals.

Happ (3-3) allowed three runs on five hits with three strikeouts and no walks across 5.1 innings against the Orioles during the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran gave up two more home runs Wednesday, which has been a problem for him this season. His 2.1 HR/9 is the worst of his career, and he's actually almost allowed more homers (11) than walks (12) this year. Overall, Happ is 3-3 with a 4.44 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 37 strikeouts in 48.2 innings this season. He will start again against the Orioles on the road Monday.
