Burgos was placed on the temporarily inactive list Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
No details have surfaced about why the move was made, but this is frequently a move that is the minor-league equivalent to the paternity list or the bereavement list. More likely than not, Burgos should be back with the team after just a few days away from the team, but more details should emerge in the coming days.

Burgos was reassigned to minor league camp Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
With Opening Day looming, the Brewers needed to start paring down their roster and did so Saturday by sending Burgos down to minor league camp. Burgos joined the organization on a minor league contract over the winter and struggled mightily this spring. He gave up seven earned runs, including three home runs, over 4.0 innings.

Burgos signed a minor league contract with the Brewers on Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training.
EDGE Analysis
He is likely past the point of getting a legitimate shot in the big league rotation, but Burgos can serve as an innings eater at hitter-friendly Triple-A Colorado Springs and potential emergency starter should a need arise with the Brewers.

Burgos allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings in a game with High-A Brevard County on Tuesday. Burgos is back in action after seeing his 2014 season cut short due to a shoulder injury. He is a long way from the majors, but he made six starts for the Brewers in 2013 and is still just 27 years old, so he will have a chance to get back to the bigs if he can stay healthy.

Burgos signed a minor league contract with the Brewers, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports. Shoulder issues have derailed a once promising career, but Burgos will return to the Brewers and attempt to recoup some value after being released by the club in September. The 27-year-old right-hander was limited to just four starts last season, and given the shoulder issues, it wouldn't be all that surprising if he transitioned to the bullpen in 2015.

Burgos was released by the Brewers on Tuesday. Burgos was named the Brewers' top minor league pitcher in 2012, but he has battled injuries since early in the 2013 campaign, and the Brewers ultimately decided to give him his release.

Hiram Burgos underwent a cleanup procedure on his right shoulder on Thursday afternoon. The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews. The Brewers have not announced a recovery timetable for Burgos, who had a rough 6.50 ERA and 1.78 WHIP in 18 innings (four starts) this season at Triple-A Nashville.

Brewers optioned RHP Hiram Burgos to Triple-A Nashville. The 26-year-old hurler started six games for the Brewers in 2013, posting a 6.44 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 18/11 K/BB ratio over 29 1/3 innings. He'll be an option anytime the Brewers need a spot starter, but holds little in the way of fantasy value.

Hiram Burgos had to leave Monday's start at Triple-A Nashville with right shoulder discomfort. It's presumably an aggravation of an injury from earlier this season. There's no word on how long Burgos will be out, but obviously he's not an option for the Brewers for a while.

Brewers activated RHP Hiram Burgos from the 15-day disabled list, optioned him to Triple-A Nashville. Burgoas has tossed six scoreless innings over his last two rehab appearances, but the Brewers have decided to keep him in the Triple-A rotation for now. He could get another shot if Johnny Hellweg struggles.
