Green was signed by the White Sox and assigned to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Green was released by the Nationals last week after appearing in 40 games with Triple-A Syracuse this season, where he slashed .246/.319/.285, but failed to make much of an impact on his overall stock. Over 129 career games with the A's, Angels, Giants, and Nationals, the 29-year-old has compiled a .246 average and 38 RBI while mainly being used as a reserve infielder. He'll serve as organizational depth for a White Sox team already dealing with injuries to Tyler Saladino and Leury Garcia, but remains a long shot to see much, if any, major-league playing time.

Green was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nats designated Green for assignment earlier in the week but Green will remain in the Washington system, having passed through waivers unclaimed. A first-round pick in 2009, Green is merely an organizational depth piece. He has totaled 353 plate appearances in parts of five seasons at the major-league level (97 plate appearances since the start of the 2015 season).

Green was designated for assignment Friday, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Trea Turner (hamstring) returning from the disabled list, Green was the obvious casualty. The 29-year-old received barely any playing time during his short stint with the Nationals, going 0-for-3 in his only start Thursday. Green likely returns to Triple-A Syracuse, where he should see regular playing time and further chances to hone his skill set.

Green had his contract purchased by the Nationals on Wednesday and will join the team immediately, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Green is the beneficiary from the Nats' sudden void at shortstop, as Trea Turner and Stephen Drew are both sidelined by hamstring injuries. The former first round draft pick is off to a rough start this season, batting .162 over 20 spring games and .154 over four games with Triple-A Syracuse, but provides major league experience at the position. Nonetheless, he needs to find some rhythm at the plate if he wants to remain with the team long-term.

Green agreed to a minor league deal with the Nationals on Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, the Washington Post's Chelsea Janes reports.
EDGE Analysis
Green does not figure to break camp with the big league club, as he is behind Stephen Drew and Wilmer Difo on the organizational depth chart, among the club's backup middle infield options. He has a career .251/.286/.339 slash line with four home runs in 350 career MLB plate appearances, and most recently washed out of the Giants organization.

Green has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento.
EDGE Analysis
Green was designated for assignment by the Giants last Thursday as they activated second baseman Joe Panik from the disabled list. The 28-year-old will head back to Triple-A where he owns a .294/.321/.437 line with six home runs and 33 RBI in 238 at-bats.

Green was designated for assignment Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With Joe Panik being activated from the DL Thursday, Green was DFA'd in order to make room on the 40-man roster. Green posted a .261/.300/.370 slash line in 18 games since his recall from Triple-A Sacramento on June 30 and will likely head back there unless he gets picked up by another big league club during his waiver period.

Green is in the lineup Wednesday against the Reds, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Ramiro Pena being scratched from the lineup, Green will be at second base in the Giants' series finale against Cincinnati. Green is 10-for-39 with a home run in the month of July.

Green is out of the lineup Sunday as the Giants take on the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Green had been putting up solid numbers for the Giants, having gone 9-for-30 across eight games. However, he'll be replaced by Ramiro Pena at second base for Sunday's contest. With Joe Panik (concussion) expected to return shortly after the All-Star break, Green will likely make much fewer appearances in the lineup in the coming weeks.

Green went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Green has been seeing regular playing time at second with Joe Panik (concussion) sidelined and has been taking advantage of it with a .300/.344/.433 slash line in 32 plate appearances. While it is a small sample size, he was slashing .294/.321/.437 with Triple-A Sacramento this season, so the former first-round draft pick may have finally "figured it out" at age 28.
