De La Rosa was claimed off waivers by the Padres and optioned to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday. However, he's now let up a hit in five straight outings. The five runs is most he's allowed in an appearance and just two less he had all season before that point. His ERA moved from 1.87 to 3.12 as a result.

De La Rosa allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four in four innings in the Diamondbacks' 8-1 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday. The 24-year-old reliever hadn't allowed two runs since July 30. The five hits are the most he's allowed all season in 14 appearances. His ERA went from 2.37 to 2.74 as a result of the poor outing.

De La Rosa pitched a clean sheet on two hits and no walks while striking out two in 0.2 innings in the Diamondbacks' 8-3 loss to the Pirates on Saturday. De La Rosa has pitched two straight scoreless outings, allowing his ERA to descend to 2.77 on the season. Since being called up from Triple-A Reno, he has let up four runs in 11.1 innings. The 24-year-old has allowed a hit in nine of his 10 outings.
