Davis signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Monday which includes an invitation to spring training.
EDGE Analysis
Davis spent the entire 2017 campaign with Triple-A Reno, finishing the season with an unremarkable 4.38 ERA across 63.2 innings. He did strike out 72 batters over that stretch, and his high strikeout potential could potentially earn him an opportunity to pitch out of the Brewers' bullpen at some point in 2018. The 31-year-old held his own in his only major-league stint, compiling a 3.12 ERA and 12:1 K:BB across 8.2 innings with the Nationals back in 2013.

Davis was reassigned to minor league camp Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old right-hander limped through 2016 with a 4.13 ERA with the Nationals' Triple-A Syracuse but impressed in a short 10-game big-league sample with a 3.12 ERA and 12 strikeouts. Davis' whiffs potential could give him an opportunity with Arizona's bullpen later in 2017.

Davis was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He was designated for assignment last week, but will receive an invite to spring training this year. The 29-year-old notched a 2.65 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 34 innings at Double-A last year, but he was the victim of some bad luck at Triple-A, posting an 8.49 ERA compared to a 3.59 FIP. Look for him to battle for a spot at the front of the Nationals bullpen, but more likely get assigned to Triple-A at the end of spring training.

Davis was designated for assignment on Wednesday, the Washington Post's James Wagner reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Daniel Murphy. After missing all of 2014 due to Tommy John surgery, command issues have kept Davis contributing in a meaningful way at the big league level. He should spend a good chunk of 2016 at Triple-A.

Davis was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis has toiled in the minors since returning from the DL due to Tommy John surgery, but Drew Storen's ill-advised run-in with a locker forced the Nationals to need some bullpen help. In 48.2 innings across three levels in 2015, the 28-year-old has a mediocre 3.88 ERA and .623 WHIP. Control has also been an issue with a 5.0 BB/9.

Davis (elbow) was activated from the 15-day DL and optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday. Davis underwent Tommy John surgery in 2014 prior to the season, but is finally ready to pitch. As a September call-up in 2013, he was still considered part of the Nationals roster after missing the 2014 campaign. As a result, he had to be optioned Monday to Triple-A, where he will look to pick up where he left off in 2013.

Davis was assigned to Double-A Harrisburg for a rehab assignment, Byron Kerr of MASN reports. Davis hasn't pitched in the majors since 2013 and the Nationals don't have any relievers in immediate danger of demotion, so there's a decent chance he stays in the minors. If he does get called up, Matt Grace or Sammy Solis could be the ones sent down.

Davis (elbow) was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday, Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington reports. Davis will continue an arduous rehab process following last April's Tommy John surgery, which is expected to keep him on the shelf until at least early-May. Even if he's able to return, the right-hander would likely serve in middle relief, limiting his fantasy value.

Davis threw a bullpen session Tuesday -- his first since undergoing Tommy John surgery, MLB.com's Bill Ladson reports. The 28-year-old reliever threw 25 fastballs Tuesday and intends to throw three bullpen sessions a week for the next four weeks. The plan is to then move on to throwing batting practices before facing hitters soon after camp breaks. Davis wants to be ready to pitch out of the Nationals' bullpen by September, which illustrates his lack of fantasy value heading into 2015.

Nationals reliever Erik Davis recently underwent Tommy John surgery. Davis sustained a right elbow sprain in early February, and surgery was among the options. The right-hander had a 3.12 ERA and 12/1 K/BB ratio over 8 2/3 innings last season with the club. He's looking at being back sometime early in 2015.
