Davis signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Monday which includes an invitation to spring training.

He did strike out 72 batters over that stretch, and his high strikeout potential could potentially earn him an opportunity to pitch out of the Brewers' bullpen at some point in 2018. The 31-year-old held his own in his only major-league stint, compiling a 3.12 ERA and 12:1 K:BB across 8.2 innings with the Nationals back in 2013.

Look for him to battle for a spot at the front of the Nationals bullpen, but more likely get assigned to Triple-A at the end of spring training.

If he does get called up, Matt Grace or Sammy Solis could be the ones sent down.

The plan is to then move on to throwing batting practices before facing hitters soon after camp breaks. Davis wants to be ready to pitch out of the Nationals' bullpen by September, which illustrates his lack of fantasy value heading into 2015.
