Erik Bedard was lit up for six runs over five innings in Sunday's loss to the Indians. Bedard recorded eight strikeouts, but he allowed eight hits, walked a pair and needed 102 pitches to cover the five frames. The veteran left-hander has given up 10 runs over nine innings in his two starts since rejoining the rotation. He'll take the ball one last time next weekend at home versus the Yankees.

The Astros have moved struggling left-hander Erik Bedard to the bullpen. Bedard had been scheduled to start on Tuesday against the White Sox in Chicago. The Astros will still maintain a six-man rotation, but have yet to announce who will replace him. Bedard owns a 4.48 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 112/64 K/BB ratio through 124 2/3 innings on the season.

Erik Bedard allowed three runs -- two earned -- in 4 1/3 innings of a no-decision against the Rangers on Wednesday. Bedard was up to his usual tricks, somehow limiting the Rangers to two earned runs despite giving up five hits and four walks on the night. He hasn't won a game in two calendar months, as he's 3-9 with a 4.48 ERA. He'll next pitch Tuesday against the White Sox in Chicago.

Erik Bedard lasted just 4 2/3 innings Thursday, getting rocked for five runs on seven hits and four walks in a loss to the Athletics. The A's plated three runs in the first with Bedard having retired only one batter, and they scored two more in the third before eventually knocking him out in the fifth. The left-hander had actually been pitching quite well before today's outing, having posted a 3.10 ERA over his last five starts. He's too susceptible to starts like Thursday's, though, to be trusted in mixed leagues. Bedard needs to be avoided next week in Texas.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Erik Bedard has cleared waivers. He can now be traded to any team, though it remains to be seen if anyone would have interest. Bedard does boast a 3.53 ERA with 85 strikeouts over his last 97 innings. He'll be a free agent this winter.

Erik Bedard has been scratched from Wednesday's start against the Orioles. Bedard hasn't been traded, so perhaps he's dealing with an injury. Brett Oberholtzer will start in his place.

Leila Rahimi of CSNHouston.com reports that Erik Bedard is drawing some trade interest. Bedard has a 3.51 ERA since the beginning of June and recently struck out 10 over 6 1/3 hitless innings against the Mariners. He has a pedestrian 4.28 ERA and 1.45 WHIP for the season, but he's struck out nearly a batter per inning and could be viewed as a back-end of the rotation upgrade for some teams. It surely wouldn't cost much to get him.

The Astros have scored a total of six runs in the five games.
