White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Tuesday that Andrus (oblique) will require a rehab assignment, but it likely won't come until next week, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus landed on the injured list May 13 with a left oblique strain. There's still no word on how long the White Sox plan to keep him on assignment, but it appears he's still a couple weeks from returning regardless of how long he spends in the minors.

EDGE Analysis
Andrus is eligible for activation on Tuesday and it would seem he has a shot to return then since he's resumed hitting. The veteran infielder has been sidelined since early May with a left oblique strain.

Andrus is absent from the White Sox' lineup Thursday in Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder will grab some pine while Lenyn Sosa gets the start at second base. Andrus is sporting a lowly .206/.286/.260 slash line this season.

Andrus went 1-for-1 with two walks, a three-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Hitting ninth against a right-hander once again, the veteran infielder took Hunter Greene deep in the fifth inning to get the White Sox on the board. It was Andrus' first homer of the season, while his third-inning pilfer was his fifth, and the 34-year-old outfielder has struggled to make an impact in general so far in 2023, slashing .204/.289/.265. Unless one of the organization's younger options at the keystone, like Lenyn Sosa, starts making some noise however, Andrus' starting job doesn't appear to be in much jeopardy.

Andrus went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 12-9 win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus notched his first three-hit effort of the campaign and his fourth multi-hit game overall on the year. He was able to raise his slash line to .206/.274/.245 and now has nine RBI, nine runs and a 7:20 BB:K over 113 plate appearances. He totaled 17 home runs a season ago between the Athletics and the Sox but has not left the yard yet over the first month of the season. The 34-year-old is playing nearly every day but has not churned out enough production early on to be considered a fantasy asset.

Andrus went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base Friday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus was hitless for the fifth time in his last six starts and managed his first walk since April 21. He added some additional value by stealing second base in the sixth inning -- his fourth stolen bag of the campaign. Overall, he's hitting only .183/.260/.215 on the season with six RBI and seven runs scored across 104 plate appearances.

Andrus went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI on Friday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus delivered an RBI single in the second inning and drew a bases-loaded walk one frame later to account for both of his RBI. He has at least one hit in six of his last seven games, scoring four runs and also swiping a bag in that span. Andrus is still climbing out of a slow start to the season and has a .217/.286/.261 slash line across 77 plate appearances.

Andrus went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored Friday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus began a rally in the sixth inning when he led off with a double and came around to score. He was in need of a strong performance, as he now has only two games with multiple hits across his 14 starts this season. Overall, Andrus has just a .173/.200/.231 line across 55 plate appearances, though he has a .209 BABIP and is striking out at a very reasonable 18.2 percent clip.
