Andrus is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus will end up taking a seat for the final three games of the White Sox's four-game set in Oakland with youngster Lenyn Sosa having seemingly gained hold of a regular spot in the middle infield next to shortstop Tim Anderson. Though Andrus has turned in an .889 OPS through 20 games in August, he's a 35-year-old infielder on an expiring deal who likely won't be much of a priority for the 51-79 White Sox heading into the final month of the season.

Andrus is not in the lineup Friday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Lenyn Sosa will cover second base and bat eighth. This is presumably just a routine breather for the veteran Andrus, who has come to life with a .352/.361/.578 slash line across his last 72 plate appearances dating back to Aug. 4.

Andrus went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Wednesday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus was the primary leadoff hitter with Tim Anderson sidelined by a suspension. With Anderson back in action, Andrus shifted down one spot in the order and also made only his second start of the season at third base. On the field, Andrus managed his 11th stolen base of the campaign and third in his last eight starts. With potential at-bats at three different positions, he should see consistent at-bats down the stretch.

Andrus was ejected from Sunday's game against the Rockies in the top of the sixth inning for yelling from the dugout, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus went 0-for-3 to begin Sunday's matchup and was unable to finish the game due to his ejection. However, it seems unlikely that his ejection will result in further discipline, so he should be available for Monday's series opener against the Mariners.

Andrus went 3-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus has stepped into the leadoff role of late with Tim Anderson (suspension) in and out of the lineup. He's quietly excelled in the role, tallying hits in four consecutive games while going 8-for-18 with two runs scored and five RBI in the same span. Andrus' season-long line is still underwhelming, but he looks to be locked into everyday playing time to close the season.

Andrus went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Guardians.
EDGE Analysis
After doubling twice earlier in the game, Andrus put the White Sox on top 5-3 in the ninth inning with a two-run single off Emmanuel Clase. It's the second straight three-hit game for Andrus, who filled in for Tim Anderson at shortstop Sunday. The 34-year-old Andrus is now 7-for-12 (.583) over his last three games, with four doubles and a home run in that span. Overall, he's slashing .223/.294/.318 with three homers, 25 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight steals across 270 plate appearances this season. Andrus could be in line for more playing time in the short term given that Anderson is facing a likely suspension.

Andrus went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, two total runs and two stolen bases in a 7-4 victory against Cleveland on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It was a big game for the veteran infielder, as he hit just his third homer of the campaign while swiping a pair of bags. Andrus finished with his second three-hit game of the season and snapped out of a six-game cold spell during which he went 1-for-13. The 34-year-old had already been seeing increased playing time since Jake Burger was traded at the deadline, and Andrus could be needed to fill in temporarily at shortstop if Tim Anderson, who exchanged punches in an on-field fight with Jose Ramirez on Saturday, is suspended as a result.

Andrus went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Tuesday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus drew the first start at second base for the White Sox after the team dealt away Jake Burger at the trade deadline. While he had previously slipped into a backup role for the team, Andrus could see an uptick in playing time but will also be competing with Zach Remillard for reps at the position. Even if he does get consistent playing time, Andrus has only seven hits across his last 31 at-bats and 13 appearances.

Andrus is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Andrus appeared to overtake Zach Remillard as Chicago's primary second baseman last week, but both players could be ticketed for utility roles moving forward. With Yoan Moncada returning from the injured list Tuesday and stepping back in as the White Sox's everyday third baseman, Jake Burger has now picked up consecutive starts at the keystone. Despite his defensive limitations at second base, Burger looks like he could settle in as the primary option at the position as the White Sox aim to keep his potent bat in the lineup.

Andrus is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old came out of the All-Star break behind Zach Remillard on the depth chart at second base, but he entered Sunday having started the previous four games. Andrus has a .280/.345/.440 slash line in 25 at-bats during July, but it will be Remillard that starts at the keystone Sunday.
