Storen (elbow) underwent successful surgery Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Storen will likely miss the entire 2018 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his throwing arm Tuesday. The right-hander posted a 4.45 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with a 48:23 K:BB over 54.2 innings out of the bullpen this year.

Storen (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Storen will be out indefinitely as he will soon undergo Tommy John surgery, so his placement on the 60-day DL will simply open up a spot for the recently-claimed D.J. Peterson to join the Reds' 40-man roster.

Storen (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery on his injured right elbow, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Storen has been sidelined since Sept. 1 with a right elbow strain and will now miss the remainder of the season (and likely all of next season) as he undergoes Tommy John surgery on his throwing arm in the coming days. He'll finish the 2017 campaign with a pedestrian 4.45 ERA over 54.2 innings of relief with the Reds.

Storen was placed on the 10-day DL due to a right elbow sprain, retroactive to Sept. 10.
EDGE Analysis
There hasn't been any word on the severity of Storen's injury or a timetable for the future, but he will be eligible to return to the mound Sept. 20 when the club hosts St. Louis. Storen's last appearance came against the Pirates on Sept. 1, which signals that there's been an issue for quite some time now. Over the course of the 2017 season, he's accumulated a 4.45 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over 54.2 innings of relief.

Storen has a 2.80 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with 28 strikeouts across 35.1 innings this season.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old has been pretty consistent all season and has yet to see his ERA go higher than 3.00. Storen will occasionally see high-leverage situations for the Reds, but has only one save and five holds to show for it. The right-hander only has a 7.1 K/9, but has been steady enough to warrant some fantasy consideration in most formats.

Storen (1-2) picked up the loss Saturday night against the Dodgers, allowing two hits while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
In a sign of how the Reds' bullpen management has changed, Reds manager Bryan Price was questioned why Storen was brought in to pitch the ninth with the game tied, rather than closer Raisel Iglesias, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Price was holding Iglesias for a potential save situation, and simply trusted Storen, who now has a 2.39 ERA following this outing.

Storen has given up six runs (five earned) across nine innings during May.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty's season ERA still sits at a solid 2.57, but five walks and only four strikeouts in the month of May tell a different story. Storen worked through April with a stellar 0.75 ERA and 1.00 WHIP, but has been unable to find much traction since. If he is able to find that form again, he could be in the mix at the back end of the Reds' bullpen, but will need to improve upon his WHIP of 1.78 in May.

Storen allowed a solo home run in the eighth inning and was credited with a blown save during Monday's win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds ended up winning the game in extra innings, and the homer only increased Storen's ERA to 1.38. However, the Reds are using multiple relievers to close out games, and Storen has now blown two of his three save opportunities. His 1.38 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 10.4 K/9 are all serviceable ratios, but his struggles finishing off games early this year is a concern.

Storen retired four batters Saturday to pick up his first hold of the season, striking out two while walking one. He also picked up his first at-bat since 2010, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Storen hasn't yet had to pitch on back-to-back days, but with the bullpen having to pick up eight innings Saturday, it's possible that Storen could still be back out there Sunday in a pinch. All four of the Reds' top four relievers (Raisel Iglesias, Michael Lorenzen, Tony Cingrani and Storen) worked Saturday.

Storen picked up his first save of the season with a scoreless inning against the Phillies on Thursday. He gave up one hit and struck out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
After Michael Lorenzen and Raisel Iglesias were used to close out a victory Wednesday night (in that order), manager Bryan Price turned to Storen to nail down the win Thursday afternoon. Storen's velocity was said to be down some this spring, but he made quick work of the bottom of the Phillies' lineup in his second appearance with the Reds, retiring the side on 14 pitches (12 strikes). It appears Storen is very much a part of the closer committee in Cincinnati.
