Dane De La Rosa (shoulder) threw a scoreless rehab inning Sunday at Triple-A Salt Lake. De La Rosa walked a batter but was able to work around the threat. He'll probably make two more rehab appearances before rejoining the Angels' bullpen. The right-hander has been out since mid-April with a shoulder issue.

Dane De La Rosa (shoulder) saw his velocity return during a simulated game on Thursday and is nearing a minor league rehab assignment. De La Rosa will only need a couple of games in the minor leagues and is expected to return to the Angels bullpen in early May. There's a chance that he could work his way into the late inning mix very quickly upon his return.

Dane De La Rosa (shoulder) will throw a simulated game in Arizona on Thursday. His bullpen session on Tuesday went well, so he'll progress to facing live hitters. He won't be eligible to return until early May, but his progress suggests he may just need the minimum stay.

Dane De La Rosa (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday. It will be his first since landing on the disabled list last week with right shoulder irritation. De La Rosa could be ready when his 15 days are up, but he might be optioned to Triple-A at that time.

Angels voided RHP Dane De La Rosa's option to Triple-A Salt Lake; placed him on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder irritation. De La Rosa had been sent down over the weekend, but the Angels decided to put him through some tests and it turns out he's dealing with a shoulder issue. The good news is that the ailment isn't considered to be serious and the reliever will continue to throw.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Monday that Dane De La Rosa is "getting evaluated on some medical things and having some tests." De La Rosa returned from the DL over the weekend, but the Angels want to have him examined after his velocity was down in his lone appearance. He was optioned to Triple-A Sunday. "He feels good, he says he feels healthy, so I think you just want to explore why some of his velo is down," Scioscia added. "Once he's ready, I know he's going to get right back on the horse. And Dane De La Rosa is going to be a big part of our bullpen. It's just going to take a little more time."

Angels optioned RHP Dane De La Rosa to Triple-A Salt Lake. De La Rosa just returned from the DL a couple days ago and allowed two runs over one-third of an inning in his lone appearance. It's a surprise he's being sent down given how well he pitched for the Halos last season.

Angels activated RHP Dane De La Rosa from the 15-day disabled list. The right-hander had been sidelined with inflammation in his forearm, but looked good in several rehab outings at Double-A Arkansas. He'll return to a setup role in front of closer Ernesto Frieri.

Dane De La Rosa (forearm) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Friday. De La Rosa made a second straight scoreless rehab appearance for Double-A Arkansas Monday. Assuming he gets through another one Wednesday with no issues, he'll be added to the bullpen for the weekend series against the Mets.
