Keuchel (1-1) allowed 10 runs (eight earned) on 10 hits and one walk with zero strikeouts across one inning to take the loss in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Guardians.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel was let down by his defense in the outing, as the White Sox committed three errors on the first six balls in play. However, he was hit hard thereafter, allowing eight consecutive hits in the second inning -- with the biggest being a grand slam by Jose Ramirez. It was an unequivocally disastrous effort, though it is worth noting that Keuchel had his start pushed back twice due to postponements caused by weather. He also threw better in his initial appearance of the season, when he surrendered three earned runs across five innings while striking out five against the Mariners. Given that, Keuchel should have the chance to rebound in his next turn through the rotation, which is currently projected to come Tuesday at Kansas City.

Keuchel and the White Sox won't face the Guardians on Tuesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Cleveland, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As a result of the series opener being postponed for the second time in as many days, Keuchel is now set to miss out on a two-start week. The two clubs will make up Tuesday's postponement as a traditional doubleheader Wednesday, with Keuchel getting the ball for the first game of the twin bill, according to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times. With the White Sox now scheduled to play six games in five days, the team will have to add a temporary sixth starter to the mix at some point between Wednesday and Sunday.

Keuchel and the White Sox won't play the Guardians on Monday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Cleveland, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The two teams plan to make up Monday's game as part of a split doubleheader July 12. As a result of the postponement, the White Sox will most likely push each of their five starters back a day in the pitching schedule. Assuming that's the case, Keuchel would still line up for a two-start week, with turns coming Tuesday in Cleveland and Sunday in Minnesota.

Keuchel (1-0) earned the win during Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Mariners after allowing three runs on six hits and striking out five without walking a batter across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel drew his first start of the season and was solid across five frames. Ty France struck early with a home run in the first, but Keuchel was able to toss four scoreless frames before getting himself into a jam in the fifth. The crafty lefty was able to escape without too much damage and earned his first win of the season. He'll look to build off his strong start Monday, when he's tentatively scheduled to start in Cleveland.

Keuchel is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Mariners in Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel found himself outside of Chicago's streamlined ALDS rotation last fall, but he'll open the 2022 season in a starting role, taking the hill for the White Sox's fifth game. After compiling a 5.28 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 5.0 K-BB% across 162 frames in 2021 and now heading into his age-34 campaign, Keuchel's fantasy outlook is bleak, even though he may have more job security than anticipated early on in the season with Lance Lynn (knee) likely out until at least late May. Even in his prime years, Keuchel wasn't a below-average source of strikeouts, so his best hope for gaining mixed-league fantasy relevance will likely come from lowering his walk rate (8.2 percent in 2021, 7.2 percent career) and banking on his groundball-happy approach yielding better luck on balls in play (.307 BABIP in 2021, .293 career).

Keuchel was not included on the White Sox's ALDS roster.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel owns a 3.71 ERA in 63 career postseason innings, but he's clearly not the pitcher he was at his peak. He struck out just 13.2 percent of opposing batters this season (the lowest mark among qualified starters) en route to a 5.28 ERA. That's clearly not the sort of pitcher a team wants to start a playoff game, and the White Sox evidently didn't believe he offered much value as a long-relief option, either.

Keuchel (9-9) tossed five innings, surrendering two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two on his way to a win versus the Tigers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander gave up one run in the second inning and then a solo home run in the fifth by Jonathan Schoop accounted for the other run against him. It was the third consecutive outing in which he allowed two runs, but he has an inflated 2.00 WHIP over 16 innings in those starts. Keuchel is not lined up to pitch again before the regular season ends Sunday, finishing the 2021 campaign with an underwhelming 5.13 ERA and 1.51 WHIP over 161.1 innings.

Keuchel gave up two runs on 11 hits and a walk while striking out two across five innings during Tuesday's loss to the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
A lack of efficiency hurt Keuchel this time as he needed 95 pitches to complete five innings. Meanwhile, his 11 hits allowed were a season worst. Akil Baddoo was Keuchel's biggest enemy of the day with two RBI singles, accounting for all the damage. The lefty will bring a 5.18 ERA and 1.50 WHIP into his next projected start Sunday at Cleveland.

Keuchel allowed two earned runs on six hits and five walks while striking out three across six innings Wednesday against the Angels. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel was far from dominant, as is indicated by the 11 baserunners he allowed across only six innings. However, he got two timely double plays -- one stranded the bases loaded -- and induced 10 groundball outs to avoid significant damage. Entering this start, Keuchel had allowed five or more earned runs in four consecutive outings. That said, he'll take the positive results of this start even if his underlying skills don't match his line. Overall, Keuchel has a 5.23 ERA with a 90:55 K:BB across 151.1 innings on the season.

Keuchel (8-9) allowed five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three over 5.2 innings to take the loss Wednesday in Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
The results weren't pretty, but Keuchel improved from his previous two outings in which he allowed 12 runs (10 earned) in four innings. There's still some work to snap out of a slump for Keuchel, who has an 9.47 ERA across 25.2 innings (six games) since Aug. 10. The results might have been better had the White Sox's offense executed with runners in scoring position (1-for-10). The left-hander is scheduled to pitch one of the three games next week against the Angels.
