Keuchel was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel signed a minor-league deal with the Rangers in late July and was added to the big-league rotation a month later, and he surrendered 14 earned runs over 10 innings between his two starts. It's the same story with a different team for the veteran left-hander, who has also been DFA'd by the White Sox and Diamondbacks this season. Overall Keuchel has a 9.20 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 45:31 K:BB across 14 starts this year, and he is unlikely to return to a big-league mound during the final month of the campaign.

Keuchel (2-9) allowed seven runs on seven hits and three walks over 4.2 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel gave up just one run through three innings before the Red Sox tacked on three in the fourth and three more in the fifth. The veteran southpaw has been tagged with 14 runs through 10 innings since joining the Rangers and his season ERA has jumped to 9.20 through 14 starts. He's projected to start in Houston next week though it's unclear if he'll get another turn in the rotation.

Keuchel is scheduled to start Thursday's series opener in Boston, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel's status as a two-time All-Star and former Cy Young Award winner may be the primary reason the 34-year-old southpaw is still receiving MLB starts at this stage of his career, as he's shown little over the past two years to suggests he's worthy of a spot in a big-league rotation. Between stops with the White Sox, Diamondbacks and Rangers this season, Keuchel has produced an 8.84 ERA and 2.05 WHIP across 13 starts spanning 56 innings. An ugly showing against the Red Sox might be enough for the Rangers to pull the plug on Keuchel and turn to another pitcher to eat innings at the back end of the rotation.

Keuchel (2-8) took the loss against Detroit on Saturday, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing seven runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out one batter.
EDGE Analysis
After Keuchel was released by Arizona in July, Texas swooped in to sign the veteran hurler to a minor-league deal. The left-hander made his first start for his new club a month later, and the results were no better than his overall body of work this season. Keuchel fell behind by two runs in the first inning and was pulled in the sixth after having yielded seven earned runs -- the same amount he surrendered in his final start with Arizona. He has given up six or more earned runs in six of his 13 outings overall this season, so it's no surprise that his ERA is an unsightly 8.84. That's the worst mark of any major-league pitcher who has thrown at least 50 innings.

Keuchel's contract was selected from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel will make his Rangers debut as the starter for Saturday's game against the Tigers, marking the third team he's pitched for at the major-league level this season. Even if he makes at least one more turn through the rotation while Cole Ragans (calf) is sidelined, Keuchel has posted a lackluster 8.53 ERA and 2.03 WHIP in 50.2 innings over 12 starts in the big leagues this year.

Keuchel will be called up to start Saturday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel has already been released by both the White Sox and the Diamondbacks this season, and it's not hard to see why. In 12 starts, he's struggled to an 8.53 ERA and 2.03 WHIP while averaging 87.9 mph with his fastball. He'll make at least a spot start or two in place of the injured Cole Ragans (calf), but it's hard to see him having much success.

Keuchel signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Monday, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel will report to Triple-A Round Rock after opting for a minor-league deal. He didn't last long on the open market, as he was officially released by Arizona earlier in the day. The right-hander will attempt to prove he deserves another chance in the big leagues after posting an 8.53 ERA and 2.03 WHIP with a 38:27 K:BB over 50.2 frames earlier this season between the White Sox and Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks released Keuchel on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
As anticipated, Keuchel wasn't claimed off waivers after Arizona designated him for assignment Wednesday. Since Keuchel wasn't going to be receptive to a minor-league assignment, Arizona elected to cut ties with the veteran southpaw entirely, allowing him to explore his options elsewhere. The 2015 American League Cy Young Award winner may be running out of chances in the big leagues, given that he's pitched to a 6.05 ERA and 1.65 WHIP in 212.2 innings over 42 starts between the White Sox and Diamondbacks over the past two seasons.

Keuchel was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Keuchel caught on with the Diamondbacks after he was DFA'd by the White Sox earlier this year, but he will once again find himself a free agent after he likely clears waivers following his removal from the 40-man roster Wednesday. The left-hander owns a 8.53 ERA and 2,03 WHIP with 38 strikeouts over 50.2 innings in 12 starts with the White Sox and Diamondbacks this season.

Keuchel (2-7) allowed eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants set the tone early and teed off for three home runs against Keuchel. The lefty has alternated between mediocre and awful in his first four games for the Diamondbacks, and he's doing little to prove himself worthy of a spot in the rotation. Through 50.2 innings between the Diamondbacks and the White Sox, he has an 8.53 ERA, 2.03 WHIP and 38:27 K:BB. Arizona's off day Thursday likely means Keuchel won't pitch again until after the All-Star break.
