Stammen (3-1) pitched a 1-2-3 fifth inning with two strikeouts to earn a 6-4 victory over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen relieved starter Ryan Weathers and cruised to an easy win after San Diego went up 6-1 in the bottom of the fifith. He's yet to allow a run in 10.1 May innings and remains a key cog in San Diego's loaded bullpen.

Stammen (2-1) recorded a one-out win after retiring the only batter he faced in one-third of an inning against the Pirates on Wednesday. He didn't record a strikeout and didn't allow hits or walks, either.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen retired Kevin Newman with a groundout -- that'd be everything he'd do to claim his second win of the campaign. The veteran right-hander hasn't allowed a run in five straight appearances and has posted a 5:1 K:BB ratio thus far this season.

Stammen earned the save Thursday after holding the Pirates scoreless across three innings, allowing three hits and no walks while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
While Stammen is no stranger to long relief outings, saves tend to be a rarity for the 37-year-old veteran. He handled the job with ease Thursday, allowing just one baserunner per inning, all singles, to finish off the win for the Padres. Across five appearances this season, Stammen owns a 2.70 ERA and 1.00 WHIP.

Stammen (1-1) allowed a hit and a walk through 3.1 innings Sunday, striking out three and earning the win over Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen came into the game in the first inning after starter Adrian Morejon left with an elbow/forearm strain. He set the tone for the Padres' seven-pitcher shutout with his 3.1 innings of work, never allowing a runner past first base. The 37-year-old is stashed deep in the bullpen but could see some long-relief outings when needed.

Stammen (0-1) allowed one run on two hits and struck out two over 1.1 innings in a loss against the Giants on Monday. He also recorded a base hit in his lone at-bat of the night.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen retired the first four batters he faced before serving up a pinch-hit home run to Mike Yastrzemski in the seventh that put the Giants up 3-2. The long ball ended up being the difference in the game as the 37-year-old was handed his first loss of the season. Stammen has struggled in both of his outings thus far, as he's given up five hits (two home runs) and three runs in 3.1 innings of work.

Stammen has allowed only one run on three hits across 7.2 innings this spring while posting a 4:3 K:BB.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran reliever struggled with a career-worst 5.63 ERA last season, though his 3.36 FIP suggests that he was dealt some bad luck in the abbreviated campaign. Stammen isn't an appealing fantasy option but should serve as an important stabilizing presence in the middle of the Padres' bullpen.

Stammen tossed 1.2 scoreless innings Friday in Game 3 of the NL Wild Card Series against the Cardinals but didn't factor into the decision. He allowed one hit and no walks while striking out zero.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen pitched well as the opener during Friday's decisive matchup, but he was still removed early as the Padres used nine pitchers to secure the win. Mike Clevinger (elbow) and Dinelson Lamet (biceps) could return to action for the NLDS against the Dodgers, and Stammen would likely be moved to the bullpen if they're available.

Stammen will be the first pitcher for the Padres in Game 3 of the NL Wild Card Round against the Cardinals on Friday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen will almost certainly be an opener rather than a true starter, as he's yet to throw more than two innings in an appearance this season and hasn't started a game since 2010. The Padres used eight pitchers in Game 1 on Wednesday and nine in Game 2 on Thursday, so frequent pitching changes will certainly be nothing new for manager Jayce Tingler.

Stammen (4-2) earned the win Saturday against the Giants after pitching two scoreless innings, allowing one hit while fanning two.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen piggybacked Zach Davies' strong opening performance -- three scoreless innings -- en route to his fourth win of the season, ending a streak of two straight appearances allowing earned runs out of the bullpen. Stammen has been one of San Diego's most reliable relievers of late, though, posting a 1.80 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP in nine appearances (10 innings) this month.

Stammen (0-1) was tagged with the loss Saturday against the Rockies after allowing one run on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
Stammen entered the game in the bottom of the ninth and didn't have a good performance. He allowed a single to Ryan McMahon and walked Garrett Hampson before recording the first out, and then Daniel Murphy delivered a walkoff single to give the Rockies the win. This was Stammen's first loss of the season, but he hasn't been pitching well of late -- he has given up five runs in 2.1 innings across his last four relief appearances.
