The Dodgers released Hynes on Friday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hynes, who logged 61.1 innings in the Dodgers organization last season between the Double-A and Triple-A level, had re-signed with the team on a minor-league pact in November. The lefty's release as spring training gets underway suggests that he may be pursuing an opportunity elsewhere in affiliated ball or overseas, though no signing has been announced. Hynes last appeared in the majors in 2015 with the Blue Jays, pitching out of the bullpen for five games.

Hynes agreed to a minor league contract with the Dodgers on Monday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old spent time with three different organizations in 2016, although he found relatively little success at the higher levels of the minor leagues in each stop he made. Hynes does possess a bit of major league experience, but he seems to be lined up for little more than an organizational depth role during his second stint with the Dodgers organization.

Hynes was traded to the A's on Wednesday in exchange for Coco Crisp, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the Indians add outfield depth, the A's get Hynes, a 31-year-old right-hander who's appeared in 27 career major league games. Hynes had spent time with the Blue Jays organization before signing a minor league deal with the Indians earlier this month. Hynes is unlikely to make an impact at the major league level anytime soon.

Hynes will go to Double-A Akron on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Hynes was signed to a minor league deal by the Indians on Thursday, and will head to Double-A Akron after getting roughed up with Triple-A Columbus on Thursday. The reliever gave up three hits including a home run during 1.1 innings of work, allowing two earned runs while striking out one in his outing with Columbus.

Hynes was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday. Hynes has allowed two earned runs on eight hits over three innings this year, but will be sent down in favor of veteran left-hander Jeff Francis. He may get the call once again if the need for bullpen depth arises at any point.

Hynes has earned a spot on the Blue Jays' 25-man roster, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports. Hynes was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays last August, and finished the season out in Triple-A to the tune of a 1.04 ERA and 0.61 WHIP over 8.2 innings. He apparently impressed throughout spring training, and will enter the 2015 campaign as a member of the Jays' bullpen.

Hynes was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays on Wednesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports. Hynes was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Sunday, but the Blue Jays, who have a struggling bullpen currently with an ERA of 4.27, decided to claim him. The lefty likely would have spent the rest of the season at Triple-A with the Dodgers, but could have an opportunity with the Blue Jays in September.

The Dodgers designated Hynes for assignment Sunday, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports. Hynes has spent the year at Triple-A Albuquerque, posting a 4.08 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 in 42 appearances, and he figures to play out the season as organizational depth there after passing through waivers. The team acquired Kevin Correia from the Twins on Saturday and needed to clear a 40-man roster spot.

Indians designated LHP Colt Hynes for assignment. Hynes was acquired from the Padres over the winter after San Diego had designated him for assignment. He put up some nice numbers in the minors last season, so it's possible he'll draw interest on waivers.

Indians acquired LHP Colt Hynes from the Padres for cash considerations. Hynes was designated for assignment last week after allowing 17 runs in 17 innings this season with San Diego. The 28-year-old will hope for better results in Cleveland.
