Wilson (shoulder) threw a five-inning simulated game Friday and he will start his rehab assignment Wednesday, Pedro Moura of the LA Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson has been increasing his workload of late, progressing from a three-inning sim game Monday to a five-inning outing Friday. Now that he's made it through a pair of sim games without incident, the Angels are comfortable with having Wilson set out on a rehab assignment in the middle of next week. Given the length of Wilson's recovery, he'll likely need multiple starts before he's ready to come off the disabled list.

Wilson (shoulder) could be ready to return June 3 when eligible, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels will keep Wilson in a controlled environment for one more throwing session, but if all goes well, Wilson may then head out for a rehab assignment. Wilson believes he will only need two starts in the minors to prepare for a return to the Angels' rotation. A two-time All-Star, he owns a career 3.8 BB/9 rate, which makes him a WHIP liability, but Wilson's still worth monitoring in deeper leagues.

Manager Mike Scioscia said Monday that Wilson (shoulder) will need another simulated game before facing live action, Joey Kaufman of the OC Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson was able to successfully pitch approximately 40 pitches during Monday's three-inning simulation but Scioscia wasn't ready to set a date for his minor league rehab stint after watching. Despite the need for another simulation, the 35-year-old still seems to be on track for a mid-June return.

Wilson (shoulder) will throw a three-inning simulated game Monday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the next step in the rehab process for Wilson, who had been limited to tossing bullpen sessions in recent weeks. If the live session goes well Monday, Wilson could soon be on tap to begin a rehab assignment. The Angels are expected to have Wilson back from the DL at some point in June.

Wilson (shoulder) could throw a simulated game as early as Monday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty incorporated some sliders into his most recent bullpen session, which consisted of 37 total pitches. A successful live session early next week would put Wilson on the verge of beginning a rehab assignment, but the Angels reiterated last week that he probably won't be back until the middle of June or so.

Wilson (shoulder) could join the Angels' rotation by mid June, the Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will throw off a mound Sunday for the first time since March, and there will be many other hurdles he will need to clear in order to make good on that mid-June timetable. The Angels could use all the help they can get in the rotation, with Garrett Richards and possibly Andrew Heaney headed for Tommy John surgery. That said, Wilson has not shown the ability to be particularly useful in standard leagues in recent years, so he should only be stashed in very deep formats.

Wilson (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Sunday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The transaction helps open up a roster spot for outfielder Shane Robinson, whose contract was purchased from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Wilson isn't expected to return from his shoulder issue until at least mid-June, so his placement on the 60-day DL shouldn't be viewed as a setback in his recovery.

Wilson is targeting a mid-June return to the Angels, the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson is scheduled to take the mound May 9 for the first time since beginning his current throwing program. That would subsequently lead to a May 18 simulated game, and a potential rehab assignment after that. He will likely make a few starts in the minors, but if all goes according to plan he should return to the big league squad at some point in June.

Wilson (shoulder) has not yet advanced his long toss past 60 feet, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following a week-plus long shutdown period, Wilson was cleared to resume throwing, but he's been slow to progress to this point. There is no timetable for Wilson's return to the major league roster, and one likely won't take shape until he ramps up closer to a rehab assignment.

Wilson (shoulder) was moved to the 15-day disabled list Sunday retroactive to March 25.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson remains without a clear timetable and has yet to resume throwing since being shut down March 25, so his placement on the DL shouldn't come as much of a surprise. The team should provide further updates on his status as he progresses, which will eventually lead to a more concrete timetable. When he returns, Wilson should slot back into the middle of the Angels' rotation.
