Tillman allowed three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two batters through four innings during Sunday's win over Toronto. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a year-long struggle for Tillman, and he's now up to a 7.85 ERA, 1.92 WHIP for the season. His 6.2 K/9 isn't moving the fantasy needle, either. The 29-year-old righty could be worth a look in soft matchups, but even then, expectations should remain in check. Tillman lines up to make his next start against Cleveland at Progressive Field.

Tillman allowed six runs on three hits and four walks across 5.1 innings in a no-decision Monday against the Mariners. He recorded one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman gave up four runs via the long ball in this one -- a solo home run by Danny Valencia in the second inning and a three-run shot by Ben Gamel in the fourth. He walked a pair before his removal in the sixth inning and saw both men come around to score on the bullpen. Tillman was making his second straight start after moving to the bullpen earlier this month, but the results have not been encouraging. He's allowed 10 runs over his previous 10.2 innings and will look to get back on track Sunday against the Blue Jays. The O's are using a six-man rotation for the time being, but Tillman is seemingly the leading candidate to join the bullpen if and when they revert back to a normal configuration.

Tillman is scheduled to start Monday's game against the Red Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman was a candidate to pick up a start in Sunday's series finale against the Red Sox, but manager Buck Showalter decided to stick with a five-man rotation for the current week, allowing Wade Miley to pick up a second start. The Orioles appear poised to go with a six-man rotation next week with the addition of Tillman, who will probably need to perform well in Monday's outing in order to pick up another start during the team's series with the Blue Jays the following weekend. After being banished to the bullpen earlier this month, Tillman picked up a start Aug. 20 against the Angels but wasn't overly impressive, giving up four runs on four hits and six walks over 5.1 innings in a no decision.

Tillman allowed four runs on four hits and six walks across across 5.1 innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Angels. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman was his own worst enemy in this one, throwing fewer than 50 percent of his pitches for strikes while setting a season high in free passes. He had worked in relief in each of his previous two outings, but Sunday's unconvincing performance did little to stake his claim to a renewed spot in the rotation. Tillman is tentatively scheduled to face the Red Sox on Saturday, but it remains to be seen if he will shift back to the bullpen in the near future.

Tillman will start Sunday against the Angels, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Buck Showalter held off on naming a starter for Sunday until after Saturday's game, as he couldn't rule out Tillman being needed in relief in the first two games of the series. It's now official, but Tillman should be avoided in mixed leagues -- and probably all formats -- given his immense struggles as a starter this year. He figures to transition back to the bullpen next week.

Tillman could start Sunday's game against the Angels if he is not used out of the bullpen Saturday, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was thought to be moving to the bullpen for the rest of August, but it seems the Orioles may quickly pivot to giving him the ball for the final game of this weekend's series. Tillman has an 8.10 ERA as a starter this year, so he should be avoided if he is moved back into the rotation. This would be Wade Miley's turn in the rotation, so if Tillman does pitch Saturday, it will likely be Miley who takes the ball Sunday.

Tillman is more likely to return to the starting rotation when rosters expand next month, opposed to any time soon, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although he may make a spot start in August, fantasy owners shouldn't expect Tillman to be a consistent option in the near future. The Orioles need bullpen depth, and until September callups arrive, the right-hander will continue working through his mechanical issues from the bullpen.

Tillman is option to start Tuesday's home game against Oakland, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following Thursday's day off, the team has a string of six straight games before reaching its next break. Manager Buck Showalter is debating inserting Tillman -- and pushing Dylan Bundy back a night -- which would afford the entire rotation an extra day of rest. Tillman was crushed (seven runs over two innings) in his last start on Aug. 3 before being moved to the bullpen. Assuming he gets the call Tuesday, it remains unclear if he'd remain in the rotation, or simply be used as a spot starter for the evening.

Manager Buck Showalter said he believes the "arrow is pointed up" for Tillman after watching the right-hander retire all four batters he faced Sunday in his first-ever relief appearance, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman was moved to the bullpen with hopes that he can fix mechanical issues that have led to a career-worst campaign thus far. "I'm not going to get into some of the things they've been working on, but he got down the hill. His angle was better," Showalter said. Both, player and coach, are hopeful Tillman can get back to contributing as a starter before season's end.

Tillman has been moved to the bullpen, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will be available for relief work beginning Sunday. The writing for this move had been on the wall, as Tillman hasn't looked anything like a viable major-league starter for some time, dating back to last year even. Tillman will likely work primarily in mop-up duty for the time being.
