Heisey (biceps) will take batting practice before Monday's game against the Cubs, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heisey appears to be back on track in his rehab after suffering a setback earlier in the month. The Nationals will likely continue to take it slow with the 32-year-old, whose setback was said to be a result of trying to rush back from the injury. Heisey will continue to ramp up his baseball activities before ultimately resuming a rehab assignment.

Heisey (biceps) suffered a setback in his rehab and will be temporarily shut down, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heisey had played just two rehab games with Double-A Harrisburg before he was re-evaluated by trainers, who determined his arm had not fully healed. The 32-year-old is recovering from a right biceps tendon rupture and manager Dusty Baker said his outfielder may have been trying to rush back into action too quickly. Heisey will lay off baseball activities until his swelling goes down, at which point a new timetable for his return could materialize.

Heisey (biceps) will begin a rehab assignment Monday with Double-A Harrisburg.
EDGE Analysis
It was initially speculated that Heisey would be in store for a long-term absence after he was diagnosed with a ruptured biceps tendon last week, but despite the serious-sounding nature of the injury, it appears the outfielder will be able to play through the issue so long as he can tolerate the pain. He's on track to play three games in Harrisburg before potentially coming off the disabled list later this week.

Heisey (biceps) was diagnosed with a complete biceps tendon rupture Friday but will not need surgery, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Due to which biceps tendon he tore and the way he tore it, Heisey dodged a much longer and arduous recovery timetable. He'll instead focus on rehabbing his biceps with stretching and strengthening while managing the pain. The veteran will test his arm with some light throwing and swinging drills in the coming days, after which more information on his rehab program should come forth.

Heisey will undergo an MRI on his right biceps Thursday to determine if he'll need surgery, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heisey apparently tore his right biceps tendon while taking a swing during batting practice Wednesday, forcing him to land on the disabled list. While he maintains it's not a season-ending injury, more should be known following Thursday's tests.

Heisey was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right bicep rupture, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear when Heisey sustained the injury, as he was seen taking batting practice on the field prior to Wednesday's matchup with the Mariners. The 32-year-old was just 6-for-47 (.128) on the season before hitting the DL. A clearer timetable for his return should become available once the Nationals update his status. In the meantime, Brian Goodwin was recalled from Triple-A to take his place on the roster.

Heisey, who was originally scheduled to start in left field, will instead come off the bench Wednesday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like manager Dusty Baker was going to give Jayson Werth a day off Wednesday, but the skipper ended up changing his mind, resulting in Heisey dropping out of the lineup. With Wednesday's start marking Werth's 17th straight, it shouldn't be long before he gets a breather, which would likely then allow Heisey to draw another turn in the outfield.

Heisey is starting in right field for Friday's game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
With Bryce Harper day-to-day due to groin tightness, Heisey could be in line for an increase in playing time -- at least for a couple days. The journeyman outfielder is making his first start since April 21, but he hasn't really had a chance to produce this year, going 4-for-25 in a limited capacity.

Heisey replaced Jayson Werth (groin) in the third inning Wednesday and went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in a 14-4 rout of the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Werth's injury isn't thought to be serious, but given his age and extensive history of breakdowns the Nats will likely be cautious in getting him back into the lineup. Heisey will split time in left field with Michael Taylor in the meantime, but as both hit right-handed they'll likely share the load relatively equally. Washington begin a three-game series in Colorado on Monday, however, so if Werth is still on the mend by then Heisey could well be worth a short-term add in deep fantasy formats for those precious Coors Field at-bats.

Heisey has one hit, a home run, in six at-bats this season.
EDGE Analysis
Heisey has started only one game this season, and hit his home run during that game. He is hitless, aside from one walk, in his four other plate appearances, all of which have come as a pinch-hitter. In 2016, Heisey had 155 plate appearances, and nine of his 30 hits were home runs.
