With Adrian Gonzalez back on the active roster, Utley will likely see most of his time at second base moving forward, perhaps as part of a platoon with Chris Taylor. Utley has made just three career starts at third base, so it's hard to imagine he will be a regular replacement for Justin Turner (hamstring) at the hot corner.

However, his recent surge has given him some renewed value in deep formats, although his .216/.314/.311 line still has plenty of room for improvement.

Utley batted leadoff and went 1-for-3 with a run scored before being lifted for a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning of Wednesday's win over the Giants.

The veteran infielder has been seeing regular playing time at first base against righties over the past couple of weeks, but that run is likely coming to an end soon as Adrian Gonzalez (back) nears his return from the disabled list.
