Utley got a spot-start at second base Saturday, going 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Justin Turner (illness) missed Saturday's contest with an upper respiratory issue, so the 38-year-old was called upon to start in his place, delivering his sixth home run of the season in the process. Turner is expected to return to the lineup Sunday, which would effectively push Utley back into a bench role.

Utley is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's no surprise Utley is sitting out with lefty Chris O'Grady on the hill for the Marlins, but the veteran infielder may no longer be in store for regular starts against right-handers either after he was on the bench for the first two games of the series. Given the Dodgers' wealth of first and second base options as well as Utley's .209 average since the beginning of June, it looks like the 38-year-old could be a DFA candidate in the second half.

Utley started at the keystone and went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in a 4-1 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Even with Justin Turner and Logan Forsythe back from their lengthy absences, Utley has been able to sustain semi-regular playing time, starting seven of the Dodgers' last 11 games (majority of starts coming at first base). He is batting just .200 with a home run over that stretch, limiting his fantasy value, but the 38-year-old could have use as a cheap daily fantasy option on days where he is penciled in the lineup.

Utley reached base twice via two walks in four plate appearances against the Angels on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran has seen a couple more starts of late with Corey Seager's (hamstring) injury opening up playing time on the infield. While the star shortstop is expected to return as early as Thursday, Utley should be in line for at least one more start with the Dodgers playing on the road in an American League ballpark.

Utley started at first base Saturday, going 1-for-5 with a double in a win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
A hot May (.314/.402/.571) earned the 38-year-old regular playing time in June, but a slow start to the month (.200/.333/.325 over 15 games) coupled with the return of injured starters pushed him back into a bench role. With just two starts over the Dodgers' last five contests, it would likely take another injury for Utley to regain a starting role.

Utley is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers will keep both Logan Forsythe and Justin Turner in the lineup at second and third base, respectively, so Utley will be relegated to the bench. With one hit in 14 at-bats over the last five games, Utley seems to be losing steam from his hot finish to May and could start riding the pine on a more regular basis.

Utley is not in the Dodgers' Thursday lineup against the Indians, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The vet has enjoyed the occasional surprisingly great game but overall hasn't given the Dodgers much of a reason to keep him as a starting option. Chris Taylor has a better shot than Utley of keeping at least consistent part-time duty following the recent returns of Justin Turner and Joc Pederson.

Utley batted leadoff and went 1-for-2 with a home run, three walks, two RBI and a pair of runs scored in Sunday's win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran received another start Sunday, this time replacing Logan Forsythe at the keystone in an effort to keep his hot bat in the lineup. It is worth noting that Adrian Gonzalez left the game with a back issue, potentially opening up more playing time for Utley in the infield. With a .349/.481/.674 slash line over his last 15 games, fantasy owners should continue to deploy the 38-year-old until he is no longer seeing regular playing time or his bat cools off.

Utley batted leadoff and went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
With both Logan Forsythe and Justin Turner back from the disabled list, Utley was expected to return to the bench to serve as a backup infielder. The role demotion had to wait an extra day after the club decided to give Turner a rest day Saturday. It is poor timing to have the entire Dodger infield healthy, as the 38-year-old seemed to turn back the clock over his previous 15 games, batting .341 with three home runs and eight RBI while filling in at second base. Manager Dave Roberts may be forced to get Utley's bat in the lineup a few times a week going forward, but his fantasy value takes a big hit if he is not seeing regular playing time.

Utley is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Utley has collected just one hit over his first 10 at-bats against the Brewers this series and will head to the bench Sunday for a day of rest. Austin Barnes will take over at second base in his stead.
