Morrow was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
A spot was needed for Alex Wood, Saturday's starter against Cincinnati, and Morrow was the roster casualty. Morrow made a handful of appearances after his contract was purchased from Triple-A on May 29, and he fared well with only two hits allowed and seven strikeouts over six scoreless innings. He figures to be back up before long.

Morrow (2-0) pitched a scoreless eighth inning with three strikeouts during Saturday's win over Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Morrow has pitched four scoreless innings with just two hits allowed and six strikeouts over his four appearances. He could see more high-leverage work going forward and has the potential to provide excellent ratios with plenty of punchouts.

Morrow had his contract purchased from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morrow was added to take the place of Alex Wood, who was placed on the disabled list with SC joint inflammation, though he's expected to pitch out of the bullpen for the big club. Despite his 5.71 ERA with Oklahoma City this season (17.1 innings), Morrow has been rounding into form lately with a 1.93 ERA in May (nine games).

Morrow will not be kept on the Dodgers' 25-man roster to begin the season, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morrow was making a case for himself to make the Dodgers' bullpen to start the season with his 13:1 K:BB over 9.1 spring innings, but he ultimately came up short. The 32-year-old will head to the minors to start the season and work for a call-up.

Morrow gave up a run and struck out two in his 1.1 innings of work Thursday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old was signed to a minor league contract with the Dodgers this past offseason. The oft-injured pitcher declared that he would transition back to a reliever after missing the majority of the 2015 and 2016 seasons with shoulder issues. Now healthy, Morrow is making a case to earn one of the Dodgers' final bullpen spots out of camp with an 11:1 K:BB ratio over 7.1 spring innings.

Morrow signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers on Wednesday, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers signed Morrow to a non-roster deal, and the intent is to use him as a reliever. Morrow has dealt with a plethora of injuries, so a role as a reliever should help take some stress off his arm. Although he is not on the 40-man roster, he figures to have a good chance at ultimately making the major league squad.

As expected, Morrow will rejoin the team Monday after spending the weekend with his wife and newborn child. The Padres will send Buddy Baumann, who came up to temporarily fill Morrow's roster spot, back to Triple-A El Paso.

Morrow had his contract selected by the Padres on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty will take the roster spot of Buddy Baumann, who was optioned in a corresponding move Saturday. Morrow has primarily worked out of the bullpen in Triple-A this season, notching 11 strikeouts in 11.0 innings. He figures to assume a bullpen role while with the Padres.

Morrow (shoulder) has returned to Triple-A El Paso after a seven-week absence, U-T San Diego reports.
EDGE Analysis
"There have been some conversations about whether he's going to be in a starting role or a relief role right now," Padres manager Andy Green said. "I think that conversation's still ongoing." Given his lengthy injury history, a bullpen role seems like the most likely outcome, but Morrow made a two-inning appearance in his final rehab outing on July 3.
