The Brewers released Logan on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
After booting Logan off the 40-man roster June 19, the Brewers were unable to find a trade partner for the lefty, nor was another team willing to pick up the remainder of his one-year, $2.5 million contract via a waiver claim. The Brewers apparently weren't able to convince Logan to accept a minor-league assignment, so the 34-year-old will look to find work elsewhere. Despite his unsightly 5.91 ERA and 2.34 WHIP in 10.2 innings with Milwaukee this season, Logan's long track record of reliability as a LOOGY could be enough to gin up interest from clubs now that he's officially a free agent.

Logan was designated for assignment Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty didn't have much success for the Brewers this season, stumbling to a 5.91 ERA in 10.2 innings. Most of his issues were control-related, as he walked 17.2 percent of the batters he faced. He was removed from the roster to make room for Tuesday's starter Freddy Peralta.

Logan allowed an earned run in 0.2 innings Sunday but also picked up the win in the Brewers' victory over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Logan's win was his first since joining the Brewers during the offseason. Typically stingy against left-handed hitters, he has allowed lefties to post a 1.244 OPS over 17 plate appearances against him this year. The good news is righty hitters have posted just a .651 OPS over 15 PA. He is working in middle relief and figures to get opportunities to turn around his stats against lefties -- they did combine for just a .191 batting average (43-for-225) against him over the last three years, after all.

Logan (triceps) was activated from the 10-day disabled list prior to Thursday's game in Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Logan appeared in six rehab outings over the past couple weeks and looks to make his 2018 debut in the coming days after suffering a slight triceps strain near the end of spring training. Over 38 appearances with the Indians last season, Logan posted a 4.71 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with a 28:9 K:BB over 21 innings of relief. Expect him to be utilized against left-handers as a late-inning situational reliever.

Logan (triceps) has traveled to Denver in advance of the Brewers' four-game series with the Rockies and will be activated from the 10-day disabled list Thursday or Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Logan made his sixth and final rehab appearance Tuesday for Triple-A Colorado Springs, striking out three of the four batters he faced. The Brewers' decision on bringing back Logan ahead of the series opener or Friday will likely hinge on how heavily the bullpen is used during Wednesday's game against the Indians. Once Logan is officially added to the active roster, he'll likely be used mostly in a situational capacity as a LOOGY.

Logan (triceps) will move his rehab assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs and is scheduled to make an appearance for the club Tuesday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Logan came out of back-to-back relief outings Friday and Saturday at Double-A Biloxi no worse the wear, so he'll move up a rung on the minor-league latter. Brewers manager Craig Counsell suggested that Logan would likely be activated from the 10-day disabled list before the end of the upcoming week, but it's uncertain if the southpaw will need to make one or two appearances at Colorado Springs before the activation happens. Whenever he's formally added to the 25-man roster, Logan will give the Brewers another quality lefty bullpen option to complement Dan Jennings.

Logan (triceps) may return as soon as Tuesday against the Indians, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty is expected to pitch in back-to-back games in his next two outings, which is the last hurdle to clear in his rehab program. If all goes well, he could return as soon as Tuesday, though the team hasn't explicitly stated a target return date yet.

Logan (triceps) tossed a clean frame and struck out two batters in a rehab game with Double-A Biloxi on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Logan has now thrown three times for Biloxi; and although he allowed three earned runs without recording an out his second time out, Wednesday's appearance essentially puts him back on track. It's not clear how many more times he will throw in the minors, but he is on the verge of being ready to join the Brewers for the first time this season.

Logan (triceps) was officially sent on a rehab assignment with Double-A Biloxi on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It's currently unclear how long the veteran lefty will remain with the Shuckers on his rehab assignment. Nonetheless, Logan seems to be on track to return to the Brewers' bullpen in early May.

Logan (triceps) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Biloxi later in the week, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Logan, who has been sidelined all season with a triceps strain, has been cleared to return to game action after getting through a simulated game with no issues Tuesday. It's unclear how many rehab appearances Logan will need to make before being activated, but he's slowly inching closer to his 2018 big-league debut.
