Jackson will start in left field and bat second Sunday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Though he'll draw a start Sunday against Tigers lefty Chad Bell, Jackson looks as though he may be stuck on the weak side of a platoon in the outfield following Lonnie Chisenhall's (calf) activation from the 10-day disabled list two days earlier. Jackson sports an excellent .316/.380/.498 slash line across 237 plate appearances this season, but he's done the bulk of his damage against lefties and owns a more worldly .287/.331/.426 line versus right-handed pitching. By comparison, Chisenhall has been a righty killer, hitting .290/.351/.581 in those matchups this season.

Jackson is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Though Jackson has been dynamite against left-handed pitching this season with a .340/.426/.574 batting line across 108 plate appearances, Brandon Guyer has also raked against southpaws for most of his career, so he'll receive the starting assignment in left field for the first game of the twin bill with lefty Jaime Garcia on the hill for the Yankees. Jackson will still have an opportunity to get some hacks in against a lefty during Game 2 with Yankees rookie Jordan Montgomery scheduled to start that contest.

Jackson is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Red Sox, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a .360 average since the All-Star break, Jackson should continue to maintain at least a semi-regular role in the Indians outfield, but he'll cede his spot in the lineup to Brandon Guyer. It will mark Jackson's first time on the bench in six games.

Jackson is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson retreats to the bench for the second straight game as Brandon Guyer picks up another start in left. With Thursday marking a twin-bill between Cleveland and Minnesota, Jackson is a solid candidate to be inserted into the starting lineup for the night game. Since returning from the DL (quad) on July 25, the outfielder is hitting .356/.406/.542 with two home runs -- both occurring in his last two appearances -- and nine RBI.

Jackson is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Twins, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brandon Guyer will enter the starting nine in place of Jackson, who still looks to be the favored option in left field while the Indians await Michael Brantley's (ankle) return from the disabled list. Jackson has homered in both of his last two starts to boost his OPS to .949 over 59 at-bats since he was activated from the DL in late July following a bout with a quadriceps injury.

Jackson went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer, his second in as many games, during Tuesday's win in Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder had three blast in his first 153 at-bats of 2017, but he now has two over his last eight at-bats. Jackson has reached base safely in 14 of his last 16 games, and now owns the AL's sixth-best OBP at .391.

Jackson is out of the lineup Monday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
After going 2-for-4 with a solo home run out of the two hole in Sunday's series finale with the Rays, Jackson will give way to Abraham Almonte in left field for the make-up game with Boston. Jackson still looks on track to see most of the starts in left field while Michael Brantley (ankle) remains without a firm timetable for a return, but he could end up settling into a reserve role more frequently in the near future with outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall (calf) in the midst of a minor-league rehab assignment.

Jackson will hit second and man left field Sunday against the Rays, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson regularly slots into the bottom half of the Cleveland lineup, but he'll move up to the two hole for the second time in three contests with Jason Kipnis (hamstring) still sidelined. With a .307 average and .852 OPS on the season, Jackson has been a pleasant surprise for the Indians, but he could see his opportunities dwindle in the weeks to come with Lonnie Chisenhall (calf) having already started a rehab assignment as he awaits an activation from the disabled list.

Jackson is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rays, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder will receive a routine day off after going 0-for-5 with two strikeouts Friday. Jackson will likely be in line to see a majority of the playing time in left field since Michael Brantley (ankle) was placed on the 10-day disabled list, but cedes the start to Abraham Almonte for Saturday's tilt.

Jackson is out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson will find himself on the bench for the second time in four games, and may have to start settling for a part-time role in the outfield, despite his impressive .321/.396/.489 season line. One of Jackson's main competitors for playing time in right field, Brandon Guyer, has gotten off to a nice start to the second half, and the recent promotion of Abraham Almonte, who will start at the position Sunday, adds another wrinkle to the mix. As a right-handed hitter, Jackson should still see regular action against southpaws, but it's less certain if he'll enter the lineup against right-handed pitching on any given day.
