Gose (elbow) was invited to major-league spring training.
EDGE Analysis
Gose will have an opportunity to show what he can do against big-league arms to begin camp. He missed the entire 2023 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, so this will be a good test for the southpaw, who made 22 appearances for the Guardians in 2022 (4.71 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 21.0 innings).

Gose (elbow) agreed to a two-year, minor-league contract with the Guardians on Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gose was let go by the Guardians in mid-November but is now back with the team on a minor-league pact. He underwent Tommy John surgery in September and is set to miss the entirety of the 2023 campaign, hence the two-year contract.

The Guardians declined to tender Gose (elbow) a contract for 2023, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
A converted outfielder, Gose showed real promise as a relief pitcher before suffering a triceps injury that ultimately led to Tommy John surgery in September. He will miss all of next season, though another team might be intrigued enough to bring Gose in right away on a two-year deal.

Gose (elbow) was designated for assignment by the Guardians on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander underwent Tommy John surgery in September and is poised to miss the entire 2023 campaign, so Cleveland won't carry him on the 40-man roster through the offseason. Gose had a 4.71 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 28:14 K:BB over 21 innings prior to landing on the injured list.

Gose (triceps) underwent Tommy John surgery Wednesday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gose has been sidelined since early July with a triceps injury, but he apparently was dealing with some elbow damage as well, and the decision was made to send him under the knife. Gose will need 12-to-18 months to recover from the procedure, so he has an outside shot to return to action late in the 2023 season. However, it's more likely that he does not take the mound again until sometime in 2024.

Gose (triceps) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear where Gose stands in his recovery from a triceps injury, but he is apparently not close to getting back on the mound. He will be eligible to return to action Sept. 1.

Gose was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a strained left triceps.
EDGE Analysis
The converted outfielder has been unable to build on the success he enjoyed out of the bullpen last season, and now he will be sidelined at least through the All-Star break with this injury. Walks and homers have both been a problem. While Gose has vultured three wins, he doesn't have a single hold on the campaign, and that speaks to manager Terry Francona's lack of trust in the lefty.

Gose (3-0) struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn the win Friday over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Gose got the last two outs in the ninth inning to keep the game tied, and he added one more out in the 10th before Enyel De Los Santos closed the game. This was just the fourth appearance in June for Gose, but he's allowed only one run, two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in four innings. Less frequent usage appears to have benefited the southpaw, who now has a 4.11 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB across 15.1 innings. He'll be in the mix for mid-to-high-leverage work as part of the bridge to closer Emmanuel Clase.

Gose (2-0) earned the win Friday against the Athletics, allowing zero runs while striking out two over one inning in relief.
EDGE Analysis
Gose entered in the top of the ninth with Cleveland down by two, but earned the win after the Guardians picked up three runs to end the game. Although Gose looked good on Friday, Emmanuel Clase has a clear hold on the closer role in Cleveland.

Gose allowed a run on a hit and a walk with three strikeouts in one inning during a 6-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader.
EDGE Analysis
Gose has allowed runs in four of his 14 appearances this season, though he's yet to go through an extended strong stretch. The southpaw has a 4.73 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB across 13.1 innings while adding a 1-0 record and a blown save. After initially seeming like a potential high-leverage option, Gose has picked up most of his appearances in middle relief.
