Marte was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday. Marte will take the roster spot of Jered Weaver (hip), who was placed on the DL in a corresponding move. There may not be a ton of playing time for Marte out of the gates, but he certainly earned the promotion, slashing .338/.391/.535 with 34 RBI over 157 at-bats at the Triple-A level.

Marte has been optioned back to Triple-A Salt Lake, Mike DiGiovanna of the LA Times reports. The Angels recalled Edgar Ibarra from Triple-A on Monday, so Marte will head back to Salt Lake to clear a spot on the 25-man roster. Marte, who was recalled on Thursday, went 1-for-3 with a single in Sunday's win over the Tigers.

Marte will be recalled by the Angels on Thursday, the Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher reports. With Collin Cowgill (hand) heading to the disabled list, the Angels will bring up Marte to add some outfield depth. Marte could get some starts in left field against lefties in the short term, but he probably won't play enough to be very useful in fantasy leagues. At 26 years old, it should not be very surprising that Marte had a good amount of success at Triple-A, slashing .343/.401/.540 with four home runs and three steals in 152 plate appearances. His numbers are far worse as a big leaguer, slashing .174/.236/.282 with two home runs in 162 career plate appearances.

Marte cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday. Marte's stay on the Angels' 40-man roster lasted just over six weeks, with the team bumping him following the acquisition of Dan Robertson last Thursday. The 25-year-old Marte has hit just .174/.236/.282 in 66 games at the major league level and will likely spend most, if not all, of the 2015 campaign as organizational depth in the minors.

Marte was designated for assignment by the Angels on Thursday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. Marte was claimed off waivers by the Angels in October, but lost his 40-man roster spot when the team decided to trade for Dan Robertson. He will now have to clear waivers before heading to the minors if unclaimed.

The Angels claimed Marte off waivers from the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. Marte struggled mightily in 44 games with Arizona this season (.170/.221/.292), but was much better at Triple-A Reno, posting a .925 OPS with 11 homers and six steals in 78 games. He'll be hard-pressed to earn significant time in the Angels' outfield next season, even if there are multiple injuries, but Marte is still just 25 and is at worst quality organizational depth.

Marte is out of the lineup again Sunday against the Rockies. Marte missed Saturday's game following eight straight starts, and will miss Sunday's game as well. Rather than Nolan Reimold replacing him again, Mark Trumbo moved to the outfield and opened first base for Jordan Pacheco who will bat fifth for the Diamondbacks.

Marte is out of the lineup Saturday against the Rockies. Nolan Reimold will draw the start in left field in his Diamondbacks debut, pushing Marte to the bench after eight straight starts. Marte is batting just .169/.234/.288 in August and his playing time is about to take a significant hit with A.J. Pollock (hand) due back Monday.

Marte is out of the lineup Thursday against the Marlins. Marte will turn left field over to Xavier Paul, as he did for Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against Cleveland. A.J. Pollock (hand) figures to push Ender Inciarte back to left upon his eventual return, but Marte should continue to see regular time for another week or so.

Marte is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Wednesday's double-header against the Indians. Marte has started each of the last four games but will concede left field duties to Xavier Paul for Game 1. The D'Backs are yet to release a lineup for the nightcap.
